The D-AST 2.0 Flight Simulator designed and built by Aviosonic Space Tech and installed at the Academy of the Guardia di Finanza in Bergamo-Italy is completing one year of service.

The D-AST 2.0 (DUAL ADVANCED SIMULATION TRAINING SYSTEM) is a revolutionary training system, specifically designed and manufactured by Aviosonic ST in collaboration with the Academy of the Guardia di Finanza of Bergamo for the training needs of the cadets of the academy's aeronaval courses , which combines the ability to simulate fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft in a single cockpit.
Since its commissioning in May 2022, the D-AST has already provided hundreds of hours of training allowing cadets the practical application and consolidation of theoretical notions in preparation for the flight courses that will follow at the end of the cycle of academic studies.
The simulator was named after Cap. Pilot Luca Bongiovanni, considered the father of the aeronaval sector of the Guardia di Finanza, with a ceremony held on March 2, 2023 which was also attended by a delegation from the Italian Air Force.
