SUPPLY CHAIN PROTOCOL

TEXTILE ORIGIN
Woven, dyed, finished in Italy and Europe → vertically integrated production network. Certified organic cotton // recycled polyester (post-consumer PET). Recycled input processed via low-impact mechanical systems (↓ water / ↓ energy / ↓ CO₂).

FABRIC ARCHITECTURE
Hybrid structure designed for workwear-grade performance. Optimised for abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, and long-cycle wear.

FINISHING SYSTEM
Hydro-repellent treatment (PFAS-free). Fluorine-free formulation achieves water + stain resistance through low-impact chemistry. Result: reduced washing frequency // no-ironing // extended garment lifecycle.

MANUFACTURING
100% European production. Facilities operate under certified environmental and social compliance protocols. Full process traceability across weaving → finishing → garment construction.

CARBON LOGIC
Localised supply chain → reduced transport load. Material selection + process engineering aimed at footprint minimisation per unit.

PACKAGING
Compostable delivery system worldwide. End-of-life aligned with circular material flow.

The Party Is Over by OLDER STUDIO
For the The Great Design Disaster

A silver pendant engraved with a simple declaration marks an ending rather than a beginning. Fixed in metal, a passing realisation acquires permanence, transforming acceptance into something that can be carried and revisited.

JEWELLERY WAS NEVER INNOCENT
An exhibition by The Great Design Disaster
Presented by Joy Herro (Joy Herro)

Patmion Cultural Center
Skala, Patmos, Greece

OPEN UNTIL 23 AUGUST 2026
10:00–13:00 / 18:00–21:00

The Great Design Disaster presents an exhibition bringing together artists, designers, architects, and creatives, most of whom have never worked with jewellery before, to create works at the scale of the body. Jewellery becomes a medium for exploring identity, perception, presence, absence, and transformation.

Presented first in Patmos, then in September 2026 in Milan, and finally in November 2026 at the Ilias Lalaounis Jewellery Museum in Athens, Jewellery Was Never Innocent gathers a temporary community of practitioners working across disciplines. Through humour, experimentation, craftsmanship, contradiction, and imagination, the exhibition invites visitors to reconsider not only what jewellery can be, but also how objects participate in the ongoing construction of who we are.
