Palais Bulles (1989) in Théoule-sur-Mer, France, designed by Antti Lovag, is a radical experiment in organic architecture. Rejecting rigid geometry, Lovag shaped the residence as a series of interconnected concrete bubbles, creating fluid, cave-like interiors that adapt to human movement. Built for fashion designer Pierre Cardin, the house merges futuristic vision with primal form, inspired by Lovag’s belief that architecture should follow the body’s natural rhythms. Overlooking the Mediterranean, Palais Bulles remains one of the most distinctive and unconventional homes of the 20th century.
