A holiday is not just about where we stay. It’s about what we experience there.

This idea is at the heart of the redevelopment and expansion project for Camping Village Pappasole, on the Etruscan Coast, designed by Progetto CMR.

The masterplan reimagines the village as an open, integrated system, where architecture, landscape and services accompany guests throughout the day: a new cycle-pedestrian axis connects pools, sports facilities, food & retail, kids’ areas and events, while plazas and green spaces become places for interaction and sharing.

Designing contemporary hospitality means, first and foremost, creating experiences that turn a holiday into a lasting memory.

Il caldo estremo non è più un’eccezione. È una condizione con cui l’architettura deve imparare a confrontarsi. E credo che la vera sfida non sia trovare generiche soluzioni al caldo, ma cambiare il modo in cui progettiamo.

Significa anticipare le criticità, simulare le prestazioni degli edifici nelle condizioni più severe e integrare fin dall’inizio architettura, ingegneria e gestione.

Una sfida ancora più complessa quando si interviene sul patrimonio esistente, dove ogni scelta deve confrontarsi con vincoli, costi, caratteristiche del sito, destinazioni d’uso e possibilità di trasformazione. Anche perché le prestazioni di un edificio avranno un peso sempre maggiore sul suo valore e sulla sua capacità di non diventare obsoleto.

È proprio qui che la Progettazione Integrata, di cui Progetto CMR è pioniere, dimostra il suo valore: non solo un metodo per coordinare competenze diverse, ma un approccio necessario per trasformare la complessità in scelte progettuali concrete, capaci di migliorare comfort, prestazioni e durata degli edifici.

Lo dimostrano progetti come The Sign, Findomestic, De Castillia 23 e le Torri Garibaldi, dove questi principi sono diventati soluzioni reali.

The way we think about territories is evolving. And so is the way we design.

This was the central theme of the 36th edition of SACU – School of Architecture and Urban Culture in Camerino, centred on “Fuori Città”. Bringing together academia, research and professional practice, the event provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on the evolving relationship between cities, territories and communities, and on the role of architecture in shaping it.

Progetto CMR contributed to the discussion with a talk by Massimo Roj, joining fellow speakers in an open exchange of ideas and perspectives.

Our thanks to Giovanni Marucci and the entire SACU team for the invitation, and for continuing to foster a meaningful dialogue between academia and professional practice.

The first edition of the ACE Challenge Ping Pong Edition has come to a close. Organized by Ethimo, the tournament transformed its Milan showroom into a vibrant meeting place where professionals from the design community came together for an evening of friendly competition and networking.

Progetto CMR was delighted to take part in this initiative, which offered a great opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, build new ones and connect through the universal language of sport.

A special thank you to Ethimo for hosting and organizing the event, and to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a success.

The development of the new Verona stadium project continues, marked by an intense and highly productive working session that brought together the project team and the ownership of Hellas Verona FC.

This important milestone confirms the strength of a shared journey, built around a common vision and an international team working in close synergy. The architectural leadership is led by Gensler together with Sportium and Progetto CMR, with technical and sustainability expertise provided by Arup and iDEAS, and project coordination by Colliers.

A collective effort that, step by step, is shaping a stadium set to become a new landmark for Verona.

Design, vision and sustainability are now deeply interconnected when it comes to sports infrastructure.

These were the themes at the heart of “Stadi e centri sportivi di successo”, a conversation focused on the evolution of sports facilities and their role within cities and territories.

A moment to reflect on how stadiums and sports centres today are no longer defined by function alone, but also by their relationship with the urban context, the quality of space and people who experience them.

The event was promoted by Sport&Impianti together with A++ Group, Pogetto CMR and Sportium.

An intense experience in Munich during the event hosted by Myrtha Pools. The opportunity to “surf” the waves generated by their latest innovative system was both surprising and a clear demonstration of how innovation is reshaping the way aquatic spaces are conceived and designed.

For Progetto CMR, collaborating with partners that invest in research and development means contributing to projects that anticipate the future. The long-standing collaboration with Myrtha Pools—already reflected in projects such as the Bocconi Sport Center and now continuing alongside Sportium—keeps opening new perspectives in aquatic design.
