🇬🇷✨ CoBRAIN at Coatings 2026: a fantastic final milestone!
With 150+ participants, the conference became a vibrant space of exchange between research and industry.

At the CoBRAIN Project booth 🔬 live SDSS demos, SSbD training sessions, and continuous stakeholder interaction kept the space alive throughout the event.

Across the programme 🎤 Dr. Giulia Gigante (Università Roma Tre) and Dr. Song Lu (VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland) presented key research, while Prof. Giovanni Bolelli (Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia), CoBRAIN Project Coordinator, shared the project vision, results, and impact.

The poster session 📊 featured Prof. Bolelli and Mr. Alvise Bianchin ( ), highlighting key scientific and data-driven contributions.

🔥 A dedicated CoBRAIN session on thermal spraying brought strong technical focus and interaction, featuring invited speaker Prof. Sergi Dosta (Universitat de Barcelona), together with Mr. Alvise Bianchin (MBN) and Dr. Lorenzo Miconi (Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia), showcasing cutting-edge advances in coating technologies.

🎉 Awards ceremony + gala dinner closed the event in a fantastic atmosphere of collaboration and celebration.

On the 2nd day of the Coatings 2026 Conference, CoBRAIN was proudly represented by Song Lu from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, who delivered an inspiring talk on designing high-entropy alloys as alternative binders within the CoBRAIN Project.💡🔬

These next-generation materials are pushing boundaries like never before, unlocking stronger, smarter, and more sustainable coating solutions that could reshape how we think about binders altogether. 🌍⚙️
✨ From complex alloy design to real-world industrial potential, the message was clear:
