In recent years, KF has become a leader in the industrial monitors market, offering a wide range of products from 4.3" to 55" for different applications, including Petrol station (OPT), Ticketing vending machines (TVM), medical equipment, vending machines and others. The monitors have a wide range of features, such as touchscreen, a wide range of operating temperatures (-30°C to +85°C), anti-vandalism protection, privacy filters, AG, AR, AF treatments, high IP and IK levels, VGA-HDMI-DVI-DP connections and more. KF's sensitivity and continuous attention to environmental issues, social responsibility and employees well-being have led the company to formalize its good practices and actions in writing, becoming a Benefit Company in 2020 and a B corp certified in 2023. Versatility engineered for multiple applications

KF developed a 7’’ compact display designed to adapt across different environments and use cases, from indoor service interfaces to outdoor payment and self-service systems.

☑️ The requirement was to design a single, highly flexible solution capable of operating across multiple sectors - including ticketing vending machines, parking payment terminals, and cash handling systems - while maintaining compactness, reliability, and ease of integration.

The engineering challenge focused on combining adaptability, mechanical robustness, and scalable performance within a unified display architecture.

KF developed a 7’’ TFT display platform designed for maximum versatility:

➡️ 7’’ TFT display, 300 cd/m² (up to 1000 cd/m² for outdoor configuration)
➡️ Resolution: 1024x600
➡️ Operating range: -10°C / +70°C
➡️ 1.1 mm protective glass with capacitive touch interface
➡️ Optical bonding for improved durability and structural strength

➡️ IK08 mechanical resistance, suitable for vandal-prone environments
➡️ ABS housing with customizable front logo integration
➡️ Side mounting system with integrated grounding for secure installation

➡️ HDMI and VGA video interfaces

➡️ On-board OSD menu for basic configuration via rear cover

Direct sunlight, reflections, and poor viewing angles can turn a fully functional display into an unreadable interface in seconds.

That’s exactly the problem Anti-Glare is designed to solve: a surface treatment applied to the glass that modifies how light interacts with the display. Instead of a mirror-like reflection, light is diffused across micro-surfaces, significantly reducing glare.

In simple terms:
👉 you don’t block light.
👉 You control reflections.

And that makes all the difference: in applications such as ticketing machines, self-service systems, and outdoor kiosks, readability cannot depend on environmental conditions.
And increasing brightness alone is not a solution, in some cases, it can even amplify reflections.

Anti-Glare removes this trade-off.

Result:
➡️ reduced reflections and improved readability;
➡️ stable performance in outdoor lighting conditions;
➡️ lower visual fatigue for the user;
➡️ consistent usability across environments.

For railway ticketing vending machines, KF developed a dual-display solution combining a 19’’ interactive touch monitor and a 32’’ display dedicated to digital signage.

❓The client’s requirement was clear: to design a single, fully outdoor-ready system capable of ensuring user interaction and visual communication even in extreme environmental conditions, without compromising readability or operational reliability.

⚡ The engineering challenge was complex: integrating two different technologies into a compact single architecture, clearly separating the operational function (ticketing) from promotional communication, while ensuring durability, high brightness performance, and service continuity.

KF’s approach was fully engineering-driven and tailor-made.

We designed a rugged dual-display system with intelligent brightness management and components optimized for outdoor applications:
➡️ 19’’ TFT touch display, 800 cd/m² with 6 mm Anti-Glare glass;
➡️ Extended operating range: -30°C / +85°C;
➡️ Integrated ambient light sensor for automatic brightness control;
➡️ Custom serigraphy opening for precise ambient light detection;
➡️ 32’’ TFT display (Open Cell technology), custom backlight, 500 cd/m²;
➡️ Installed in the upper section of the vending machine for promotional content;
➡️ Operating range: -20°C / +70°C;
➡️ KF1840 AD control board with remote access and multi-interface support (HDMI, DP, VGA);
➡️ Intelligent brightness management via integrated sensor.

The result is a fully integrated dual-display platform designed for high-traffic outdoor ticketing environments, where interaction and digital communication coexist within a single, reliable and durable system.
