⚓️ We were pleased to attend the ASSONAVE Public Assembly, held to celebrate the Association’s 80th anniversary—an important opportunity to discuss the future of the Italian shipbuilding industry.

🌊 During the meeting, it became clear that the maritime sector is facing an increasingly complex landscape, shaped by geopolitical tensions, new international industrial and trade policies, and growing competition from Asia. These challenges require the industry to continuously adapt and innovate.

🗣️ Among the most insightful speeches was that of Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and General Manager of Fincantieri, who outlined two key strategic directions for the future of 🚢 shipbuilding: product innovation, through the design of increasingly sustainable, efficient, and future-compliant vessels, and process innovation, by developing production systems that are more flexible, digital, and resilient.

🎤 The event also featured the presentation of the first “Sapiens Ship,” the Four Seasons vessel built by Fincantieri at its Ancona shipyard. The ship integrates artificial intelligence systems capable of learning from operational data to optimize routes, fuel consumption, efficiency, and sustainability. 🛥️ Another key topic was the growing importance of serially produced vessels, where cost optimization is becoming a decisive competitive advantage, as well as the evolution of manufacturing processes through automation. The introduction of robotic technologies is transforming the industry, shifting value from manual labor to knowledge-based expertise.

🤝🏻 The event also provided an excellent opportunity for networking and meaningful discussions, leading to promising prospects for collaboration, particularly in the areas of training, 📚 academy development, digitalization, and the creation of dedicated solutions for the maritime sector. We were also delighted to receive positive feedback and recognition for our digital presence and marketing activities, which were acknowledged as one of our company’s distinctive strengths.

✨ Taking part in events like this means helping build relationships, sharing expertise, and shaping the future of the industry together. 🌊 As was aptly stated during the Assembly, “the sea is culture,” and every meeting is an opportunity to “tie new knots,” creating meaningful connections that generate lasting value.

🙏🏻 Once again this year, we were pleased to attend ALIS’s annual summer event in Puglia, held at the stunning Masseria Li Reni in Manduria (Taranto).
🌎 The event, “The Impact of Geopolitical Scenarios on Logistics and Industrial Supply Chains,” brought together businesses, stakeholders, and institutional representatives for a discussion moderated by journalist Bruno Vespa.

🛳️ The event covered a wide range of highly relevant topics, focusing on the competitiveness of logistics and strategic supply chains, as well as current geopolitical, energy, and economic developments, with particular attention to Southern Italy’s economy.

🤝🏻 In an increasingly uncertain environment, sharing perspectives, expertise, and experience is not only an opportunity for meaningful discussion—it is an essential step toward building robust, sustainable systems capable of meeting the challenges of global markets. 💪🏻

✨ Our thanks to ALIS for the invitation and for organizing such a valuable event.
🇮🇹 Moments like these strengthen our collective awareness, help us understand and navigate change, and contribute to building a more resilient future for Italy’s logistics sector.

🌊🛥️ Today we attended the Assarmatori Annual Meeting in Rome, at the Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & SPA, for an important moment of discussion that brought together the leading stakeholders of the Italian maritime sector every year.
🎤 The title chosen for the 2026 edition was particularly evocative: “Instructions for Not Sailing in the Dark”, a reference to the challenges that the shipping industry was facing at a time marked by strong geopolitical tensions, the energy transition, and growing international competition.

⚓️ At the heart of the discussion was a round table dedicated to the future prospects of maritime transport, European policies, the security of trade routes, and the need to ensure the competitiveness of Italian companies in an increasingly complex global environment.
🇮🇹 The event was attended by distinguished representatives of the Government, institutions, the Armed Forces, the port system, and the shipping industry.

🙏🏻 Thank you for making it possible for to take part in one of the most important events of the year for the entire Italian shipping community, which came together to discuss the routes to follow in addressing the challenges of the future without “sailing in the dark.”

🌊 took part in the 8th Maritime Labour Conference, “Living by the Sea” (“Vivere di Mare”), held on 4–5th June in Procida. The event has become a well-established forum for dialogue among institutions, industry professionals, trade associations, and stakeholders from Italy’s maritime cluster.

The title chosen for this year’s edition, “Uncertain Routes, an Essential and Unavoidable Future,” perfectly captures the phase currently being experienced by the maritime sector. Against a backdrop of geopolitical shifts, the energy transition, technological innovation, and evolving organizational needs, maritime labour continues to be an indispensable resource for the global economy and for the competitiveness of our country.

Over the course of the two-day conference, participants discussed key issues shaping the future of the profession, including the evolving role of seafarers, generational renewal, the development of new skills, process digitalization, safety, healthcare support for maritime workers, and the strategic importance of maritime transport within international supply chains.

A common message emerged from these contributions: the future of the maritime industry will depend not only on technology and infrastructure investments, but above all on the ability to value people, attract younger generations to maritime careers, and support workers in acquiring increasingly specialized skills.

For PLC Marine, the conference represented an important opportunity for discussion and networking, but above all a chance to contribute to a collective reflection on how to build a more modern, attractive, and sustainable maritime sector—one capable of meeting the challenges of the years ahead without losing sight of the expertise, traditions, and maritime culture that have always been its beating heart.

📍 Monte di Procida at the center of the debate on the future of maritime state concessions.

🌊 PLC Marine took part in the conference dedicated to a highly relevant and timely topic for the maritime sector:

“Maritime State Concessions in Light of National and EU Regulations, Case Law, and PAD Planning”, held at the Laboratorio delle Arti in Monte di Procida.

🤝🏻 The event brought together leading figures from the institutional, technical, and legal sectors, including Avv. Immacolata Marra, Dr. Sergio Zeuli, Dr. Luca Della Ragione, Eng. Marco De Stefano, Gen. Claudio Mungivera, and Dr. Giuseppe Pugliese.

🎤 Representing our Business Unit PLC Marine, our CEO, Dr. Maria De Lillo, participated as a speaker during the session dedicated to PAD Planning and Maritime State Property Management.

🧠 Her contribution marked one of the most significant moments of the conference, bringing PLC Marine’s practical experience and strategic vision to the discussion on coastal planning, territorial enhancement, and the sustainable management of maritime infrastructure.
In an increasingly complex and evolving regulatory landscape, dialogue between technical experts, institutions, and industry operators remains essential to developing modern, balanced, and sustainable models for the future of our coastlines.

🙏🏻 We are proud to have contributed to such an important opportunity for discussion and professional exchange, especially because it took place in our hometown of Monte di Procida — a place with enormous potential that deserves continued commitment, vision, and investment in order to shine and grow even further.

👏🏻 Our sincere thanks go to the organizers and all the speakers for the valuable insights and contributions shared throughout the event.

🛳️⚓️ Today we attended the "Ferries and Ro-Ro" Business Meeting organized by SHIPPING ITALY at the Stazione Marittima in Naples; one of the most important event for the national maritime sector.

🤝🏻 As PLC Marine, we had the opportunity to engage with shipowners, terminal operators, shipyards, logistics operators, and industry stakeholders on the key issues driving the evolution of shipping: energy transition, operational 💡 sustainability, technological innovation, process digitalization, and port infrastructure development.

🌊 Particularly interesting were the insights dedicated to the future of ferry and ro-ro fleets, new energy efficiency solutions, and the impact of European environmental regulations on maritime transport. Great attention was also paid to the strategic role of Italian ports in the Mediterranean and the need to accelerate investments in ⚙️ automation, safety, and technological integration.

This was an important opportunity to consolidate relationships, share expertise, and gather concrete insights on how our sector is addressing the challenges of decarbonization and innovation.
🙏🏻 We thank the organizers and all participants for the high-level discussion and for helping to create a moment of constructive dialogue on the future of maritime transport.
