Mazaud Test: wear resistance of decorated ceramic tiles

Metco tiles are tested with the Mazaud Test, a strict procedure that simulates over 14 km of wear on a single tile. A steel wheel with a 60 kg load spins 22,320 times, recreating the tough conditions of busy, high-traffic areas and checking the tile’s resistance, shine, and color stability.

1996 – Yellow Body Color Patent

In 1996, Metco once again innovated the ceramic world with an important patent: yellow color directly integrated into the ceramic body. This technology made it possible to achieve a stable and vibrant shade within the tile itself, ensuring a deep and long-lasting coloration.
