🎉 We’ve successfully deployed our adaptive optics system at the FLAME laser (SPARC_LAB) at INFN Frascati.

📊 FLAME delivers ultra-intense 300 TW pulses, with 25 fs duration at a 5 Hz repetition rate. Our solution features a 64-actuator deformable mirror, designed for 90 mm diameter beams and High Vacuum compatibility, enabling precise wavefront control in extreme laser conditions. This system will support cutting-edge research in laser–plasma acceleration, pushing the boundaries of high-power laser applications.

A new adventure is coming for Dynamic Optics!

Officina Stellare si aggiudica un nuovo contratto con l’Agenzia Spaziale Europea per la realizzazione di una stazione ottica di terra completa, per applicazioni , destinata al Centro Europeo per le operazioni spaziali a Darmstadt in Germania.

Il progetto, denominato C3PO, è una collaborazione che coinvolge oltre Officina Stellare anche la tedesca Work Microwave, le controllate del gruppo OS, Dynamic Optics e ThinkQuantum, ed Euroconsult.

Il sistema sarà progettato per poter operare in ambiente urbano, sia a terra che posizionato sul tetto dell’edificio cui è destinato, e sarà utilizzato per eseguire i test con satelliti in orbita LEO, e per testare l’affidabilità delle comunicazioni ottiche in campo aperto nei casi d’uso compatibili alle esigenze di mercato (settore bancario, difesa e sicurezza).

"È un ulteriore passo avanti verso la realizzazione di un’infrastruttura di comunicazione laser e quantistica tutta Europea," afferma Gino Bucciol, VP of Business Development di Officina Stellare, "conferma le pionieristiche capacità di Officina Stellare in questo ambito".
