1970 - The beginnings
The first semi-automatic filling machine prototype for liquid products in cartons is developed by Galdino Candiotto for the small family dairy. The aim is to automate and speed up the manual processes used up to that time. As a result of client demand, the mass production of the first Galdi rectangular carton filling machines begins in a small 100 m2 office.
1982 - The gro
wth
The company grows and moves to a larger 500 m2 site in Montebelluna (Treviso).
1985 - Discovering corporate identity
Registration of the company “Galdi di Candiotto Galdino”. The product range is extended, to include models with increased production performance.
1993 - Further growth
The small business becomes a limited partnership. Cooperation agreements are signed with leading international suppliers in the filling sector. To accommodate the expansion, the company moves to a more spacious and functional 2,500 m2 site
1996 - Ultra Clean System (UCS)
In partnership with the University of Udine, Galdi begins research into the development of an exclusive filling system called UCS (Ultra Clean System), through which machines fill and sterilise containers in a clean and controlled environment, helping to guarantee a longer product shelf life. The UCS system is patented in 2000
1998 - Acquisition
Galdi acquires Century Srl, manufacturer of frames, thus implementing the direct control of specialised technology in the processing of stainless steel. Additional space of 300 m2 is acquired at the same time.
2000 - ISO 9002 Quality Certification
Galdi, always committed to total product quality, obtains ISO 9002, ISO 9001 and VISION 2000 certification.
2006 - Another step ahead
Galdi moves to its current headquarters in Postioma di Paese (TV), a modern structure, adapted to the requirements of a constantly evolving company. 4,000 m2 are dedicated to production, 1,200 m2 to management and technical offices.
2009 - Galdi gets OHSAS 18001 certified
Galdi is now OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) certified. OHSAS 18001 is an internationally recognised standard for occupational health and safety management which aims at reducing risks in the working environment.
2010 - Galdi celebrates its first 25 years in business. Established in 1985, the company has recently grown up considerably thanks to its improvement and solutions oriented attitude . Galdi is now facing the future with the same spirit of its inception years, as ever focusing on customers’ full satisfaction and setting itself more and more ambitious targets.
2011 - Service Centre No. 1
Moscow was the first city to welcome a new after-sales assistance pole focused on Galdi's filling machines and offering on-site response to all kinds of technical issues quickly and efficiently.
2012 - 14001:2004 Environmental Management System
Galdi obtained its EMS 14001:2004 certification as a proof of its commitment in monitoring the environmental impact of its production processes.
2013 - A new Service Centre in Morocco
A new Moroccan base was set up to cover the multi-faceted, challenging needs of North-African territories.
2014 - Galdi in USA
Remain close to customer it's one of main pillars of Galdi's filosofy. In order to foolow al our american customers, from North to South, we opened a new office in Delaware. Galdi never stops!
2015 - The New Galdi Generation
Galdi celebrates its 30 years in the industry with a brand-new family of gable-top carton fillers. RG270 is our innovative, ultra-speed, super-flexible range. Happy birthday Galdi!
2016 - Welcome Galdi Shanghai
Galdi is pleased to announce the birth of the new Business Unit based in Shanghai that will allow the company to approach and develop the Chinese market.
