Engineered to deliver top performance even in the most demanding conditions, with a gross combined weight of up to 300 tons,
it introduces advanced technical solutions designed to enhance reliability, efficiency, and operational strength:

- Fully automatic transmission with high-performance transfer box
- Powerful 570 HP engine for consistent and manageable output
- Reinforced front axles, built for maximum durability and long-term resistance
- Heavy duty fifth wheel coupling for 3½“ kingpins, made of cast steel for highest loads up to 50 Ton
- Additional radiators for engine coolant, gearbox and transfer case oil
- Rear cab package with air tanks and fuel extra capacity tank

We are proud to announce the delivery of an HD9 8x8 heavy recovery truck with a 182T crane, body-built by FIAULT, designed for extreme heavy-duty operations.

The delivery was successfully completed in Togo, at the port of Lomé, on behalf of our partner Premium , marking a further step in the international presence of high-performance special vehicles.

Special thanks to FIAULT for the bodywork and collaboration, which made it possible to deliver a truly unique unit, ready to enter service in a highly demanding operational environment.

There’s an invisible force that helped move the metropolis.
During the years of major urban expansion, ASTRA vehicles took the front line in the excavation works for Line 2 (Green) of the Milan Metro. It wasn’t a job for everyone. The year was 1965. Our original home in Via Millo was becoming too small for an ambition that was growing at full throttle. We needed a wider horizon, and we found it right here, in Via Caorsana. 📍

With that first 140,000-square-meter expansion, our history shifted into high gear:

- The legendary M.47 tanks were the first to rumble across these new floors.
- We built the Iconic "Pistino": a dedicated testing track to push every vehicle to its absolute limit.
- By the late '60s, our production expanded, bringing Astra’s signature ruggedness to construction sites and terrains worldwide.

Today, in 2026, our heart still beats at this very address.
We have changed, evolved, and embraced the most advanced technologies, but the ground beneath our wheels is the same that saw the birth of the giants of the past.

A day of live demonstrations, technical exchange and networking with customers and professionals from the quarrying sector.

In the heart of the Peruvian Andes, ASTRA continues to stand alongside the key players of the mining industry. Through our local distributor ROMARC and strategic partner Odion Motors in Huaraz, three Astra HD9 6x4 Tipper units, configured for heavy-duty operations, have been delivered to a major mining company in Peru’s Central Area.
