🏁 The Monza Grand Prix is not just about sport: it is also an opportunity to discuss the future of the industry that makes that sport possible.

As part of “Lombardia in Pole Position”, an initiative promoted by the Regional Council of Lombardy at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Cav. Marco Bonometti took part in a round table dedicated to Lombardy’s automotive supply chain, alongside Guido Guidesi, Regional Councillor for Economic Development, Saverio Gaboardi, President of the Lombardy Mobility Cluster, and representatives of the Regional Council.

At the heart of the discussion were the issues shaping the future of the sector: components, motorsport, research, technical training, European regulation and the transformation of production.

“Since 2019, I have been fighting against a Green Deal that has a noble objective, but the wrong means, timing and approach. Fit for 55 risks forcing our companies to shut down due to a lack of competitiveness, while other continents have protected their own industries. China has invested in rare earths and microchips and is now directing its overcapacity towards Europe; the United States has made its choice clear: if you do not produce locally, you sell less. Europe must make clear choices – Made in, tariff reciprocity, certification of the carbon footprint of imports – and have the political will to protect European workers and the European economy. In the meantime, we continue to do our work in Italy,” said Cav. Marco Bonometti.

For OMR Automotive, taking part in these discussions means contributing, with the experience of an industrial Group, to the future of a sector that is strategic for both the local area and the country.

Nell'ambito di "Lombardia in Pole Position", l'iniziativa del Consiglio regionale della Lombardia all'Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, il Cav. Marco Bonometti ha preso parte al tavolo dedicato alla filiera automotive lombarda, insieme all'assessore allo Sviluppo economico Guido Guidesi, al presidente del Cluster Lombardo della Mobilità Saverio Gaboardi e ai rappresentanti del Consiglio regionale.

Al centro del confronto, i temi che disegnano il futuro del settore: componentistica, motorsport, ricerca, formazione tecnica, regolazione europea e transizione produttiva.

«Dal 2019 mi batto contro un Green Deal che ha un obiettivo nobile, ma mezzi, tempi e modalità sbagliati. Il Fit for 55 rischia di far chiudere le nostre imprese per mancanza di competitività, mentre gli altri continenti hanno tutelato le loro. La Cina ha investito su terre rare e microchip e oggi riversa in Europa la sua sovraccapacità; gli Stati Uniti hanno scelto: se non produci in loco, vendi meno. L'Europa deve fare scelte chiare – Made in, reciprocità dei dazi, certificazione dell'impronta di carbonio sull'import – e avere la volontà politica di difendere i lavoratori e l'economia europea. Noi, nel frattempo, continuiamo a fare il nostro lavoro in Italia» – ha dichiarato il Cav. Marco Bonometti.

Today in Desenzano del Garda, the Air Show 2026 took place—one of the most anticipated air shows of the year—drawing thousands of people to the shores of the lake.

As is tradition, the Frecce Tricolori closed out the program with a half-hour aerobatic display: ten MB-339 aircraft from the National Aerobatic Team performed in formations, crossings, and low-altitude flybys, culminating in a giant Italian tricolor drawn in the sky over Lake Garda.

Precision, discipline, and spectacle—an expression of Italian excellence recognized worldwide.

OMR Automotive was there again this year. For us, supporting events like this means supporting “Made in Italy” and the values that make it unique: the same care, the same expertise, and the same pride that we put into our work every day.

Because Italy, soaring to new heights, is made up of people, technology, and passion.

Oggi a Desenzano del Garda si è tenuto l’Air Show 2026, una delle manifestazioni aeree più attese dell’anno, che ha richiamato migliaia di persone lungo le rive del lago.

Come da tradizione, a chiudere il programma sono state le Frecce Tricolori con mezz’ora di esibizione acrobatica: dieci velivoli MB-339 della Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale si sono susseguiti in formazioni, incroci e passaggi a bassa quota, fino al grande tricolore disegnato nel cielo del Garda.

Precisione, disciplina e spettacolo, espressione di un’eccellenza italiana riconosciuta in tutto il mondo.

Anche quest’anno OMR Automotive era presente. Sostenere eventi come questo significa per noi sostenere il Made in Italy e i valori che lo rendono unico: la stessa cura, la stessa competenza e lo stesso orgoglio che mettiamo ogni giorno nel nostro lavoro.

Important news from our Brazilian plant 🇧🇷🔐

From August 24 to 27, OMR Brazil underwent an ISO/IEC 27001 certification audit—the international standard that attests to the robustness of information security management systems. The audit was conducted by the certification body QMS.

It was four intense days of inspections, document reviews, interviews, and checks on every aspect of how we protect data. And it all ended with a positive outcome.

This success is largely thanks to one person in particular: Pablo Saint Clair, Quality System Manager at OMR Brazil. He’s the one who built, coordinated, and guided this process step by step, with a dedication that truly made all the difference. Thank you, Pablo! 👏

And thank you to all our colleagues who contributed: certain milestones can only be achieved together.

Dal 24 al 27 agosto OMR Brazil ha affrontato l'audit di certificazione ISO/IEC 27001, lo standard internazionale che attesta la solidità dei sistemi di gestione della sicurezza delle informazioni. A condurlo, l'ente certificatore QMS.

Quattro giorni intensi di verifiche, documenti, interviste e controlli su ogni aspetto del nostro modo di proteggere i dati. E si sono chiusi con un esito positivo.

Un risultato che ha un nome in particolare: Pablo Saint Clair, Responsabile del Sistema Qualità di OMR Brazil. È lui che ha costruito, coordinato e seguito questo percorso passo dopo passo, con una dedizione che ha fatto davvero la differenza. Grazie Pablo! 👏

🏆 Carbon Value is among the 48 finalists of the Prêmio Automotive Business, selected from 175 entries.

Born from a request by Stellantis, the project became a decarbonization program running across the entire supply chain: steelworks, logistics, production and end customer. Under the coordination of Michele Antunes Braga, a traceable methodology was developed across the product's entire life cycle, built around a closed-loop material system 24,000 tonnes of scrap put back into production as raw material. ♻️

The journey brought the product's carbon footprint to zero, with a 67.66% reduction in emissions: a target we had set for 2030 and have already surpassed.

«On our own, we would never have achieved any of this. Having already passed the 2030 milestone tells us we can push even further», Michele Antunes Braga, project coordinator.

Nato da una richiesta di Stellantis, il progetto è diventato un programma di decarbonizzazione che attraversa tutta la filiera: acciaieria, logistica, produzione e cliente finale. Sotto il coordinamento di Michele Antunes Braga, è nata una metodologia tracciabile lungo l'intero ciclo di vita del prodotto, con al centro un circuito chiuso dei materiali 24.000 tonnellate di rottame rimesse in produzione come materia prima. ♻️

Il percorso ha portato l'impronta carbonica del prodotto a zero, con una riduzione del 67,66% delle emissioni: un obiettivo che ci eravamo dati per il 2030 e che abbiamo già superato.

«Il valore vero di Carbon Value è la competenza che resta. Sostenibilità e competitività industriale crescono insieme», Fabio Candian, CEO di OMR Componentes Automotivos Brasil.

At OMR, it already does. Our structural castings can be made from 100% recycled alloy, cutting the carbon footprint by up to 62% of CO₂ equivalent compared to primary aluminium.

This is the heart of our approach to the circular economy: secondary alloys from recovery, lighter components and reusable packaging across the entire supply chain. 🌱

In 2025, our energy from renewable sources reached 17,901 MWh, including 2,279 MWh of in-house photovoltaic generation, helping to reduce Scope 2 emissions by 13% compared to 2024. ☀️

Because true innovation is the kind that reduces impact without giving up performance.
