Gian Luca Merlo works at OMR Brazil, in Sete Lagoas, where he currently holds the role of Purchasing Manager.

He joined the company in 2004 and witnessed first-hand the growth of OMR's Brazilian site, back when it was only five years old. Facing a new and unknown environment turned out to be a great opportunity for growth — a true professional school that, over the years, allowed him to build skills, develop relationships and start his own family in Brazil.

His story shows how a company's journey can deeply intertwine with the journeys of the people who are part of it. Because some professional paths become life paths. 💙

Gian Luca Merlo lavora in OMR Brasile, nella sede di Sete Lagoas, dove oggi ricopre il ruolo di Responsabile Acquisti.

Entrato in azienda nel 2004, ha vissuto da vicino la crescita della realtà OMR in Brasile, quando la sede aveva appena cinque anni di attività. Affrontare un contesto nuovo e sconosciuto è stata per lui una grande opportunità di crescita — una vera scuola professionale che negli anni gli ha permesso di sviluppare competenze, costruire relazioni e creare la propria famiglia in Brasile.

La sua storia racconta quanto il percorso di un'azienda possa intrecciarsi profondamente con quello delle persone che ne fanno parte. Perché ci sono percorsi professionali che diventano anche percorsi di vita. 💙

⛳ A wonderful day of sport, friendship and solidarity was enjoyed during the Idea Giroldini Memorial 2026, an event passionately organized by Ovidio Cocconi in memory of his beloved wife, Idea Giroldini. 💙

The initiative brought together friends, entrepreneurs, professionals and golf enthusiasts, united by a shared commitment to supporting important charitable projects. 🤝 Among the participants were also representatives of OMR Automotive, including Stefano Allocchio, CFO of the Group.

Part of the funds raised will be used to purchase medical equipment for E. Franchini Hospital in Montecchio Emilia and Santa Maria Nuova Hospital in Reggio Emilia 🏥, while another portion will support foundations and non-profit organizations involved in research and assistance for the most vulnerable people. 🌟

A special thank you to Ovidio Cocconi, the sponsors, volunteers and all participants who make this important initiative possible. 🙏

In memory of Idea, sport continues to become a tangible act of hope and solidarity. 💛

⛳ Una splendida giornata di sport, amicizia e solidarietà quella vissuta in occasione del Memorial Idea Giroldini 2026, evento organizzato con passione da Ovidio Cocconi in ricordo dell’amata moglie Idea Giroldini. 💙

L’iniziativa ha riunito amici, imprenditori, professionisti e appassionati di golf, accomunati dalla volontà di sostenere importanti progetti benefici. 🤝 Tra i partecipanti erano presenti anche rappresentanti di OMR Automotive, tra cui Stefano Allocchio, CFO del Gruppo.

Parte dei fondi raccolti sarà destinata all’acquisto di apparecchiature per l’Ospedale E. Franchini di Montecchio Emilia e per l’Ospedale Santa Maria Nuova di Reggio Emilia 🏥, mentre un’altra parte sosterrà Fondazioni e ONLUS impegnate nella ricerca e nell’assistenza alle persone più fragili. 🌟

A New Urban Forest in Pavone Mella: Our Commitment to the Local Community 🌿

At OMR, we believe that industrial growth must go hand in hand with responsibility toward the environment and the communities in which we operate.

Through our company FMB Foundry, we have launched the redevelopment of an area of approximately 11,000 square meters on Via Ponte Mella in Pavone Mella: land that had remained unused for years and will now become a new urban forest, benefiting both the environment and the people who live here.

The project includes the planting of native tree species — European hornbeam, wild cherry, European ash, and field maple — as well as shrub areas designed to provide shelter for local wildlife, and a lit pedestrian and cycle path connecting the site to the nearby sports center.

A concrete initiative aimed at increasing the area's tree cover, promoting biodiversity, and improving air quality. 🌳

We would like to thank the Municipality of Pavone Mella for its collaboration. It is through dialogue between public institutions and businesses that projects capable of leaving a lasting impact can come to life. 🤝

Un nuovo bosco urbano a Pavone Mella: il nostro impegno per il territorio 🌿

In OMR siamo convinti che la crescita industriale debba accompagnarsi alla responsabilità verso l'ambiente e le comunità in cui operiamo.
Attraverso la nostra azienda FMB Foundry, abbiamo avviato la riqualificazione di un'area di circa 11.000 m² in via Ponte Mella, a Pavone Mella: un terreno rimasto incolto per anni che diventerà un nuovo bosco urbano a beneficio dell'ambiente e delle persone che vivono qui.

Il progetto prevede la messa a dimora di specie autoctone — carpino bianco, ciliegio, frassino maggiore e acero campestre — macchie arbustive come rifugio per la fauna selvatica, e un collegamento ciclopedonale illuminato con il vicino centro sportivo.

Un intervento concreto per aumentare il patrimonio arboreo del territorio, favorire la biodiversità e migliorare la qualità dell'aria.🌳
Grazie al Comune di Pavone Mella per la collaborazione: è dal dialogo tra istituzioni e imprese che nascono progetti capaci di lasciare un segno duraturo. 🤝
