Initially, the company’s activity is focused in product distribution for the metering sector into the Italian
market: liquid flow meters, flow computers and other related products. The process analysers division has been added in 1989, when SOCRATE had been appointed the Italian
distributor for the AMETEK Process Instruments, brand of excellence in field. Almost immediately, the
process analysers
portfolio had been improved with other complementary products. The new millennium started with a new business unit: the fire and gas one, being appointed distributor
for General Monitors Detector, Gassonic and MEDC, unbeatable excellences. By the acquisition of GM by
MSA, SOCRATE becomes the GM MSA exclusive distributor. More precisely, from 1 of January 2017
SOCRATE is the only channel partner for both GM and MSA for the oil and gas sector. SOCRATE has improved its offer by offering solutions build on deep knowledge of the process and of
excellent distributed products, more and more turnkey and integrated solutions, providing a complete
support also for law and directive requirements as well as process efficiency. SOCRATE offers engineering and complete solutions for oil and gas using only carefully selected products
through hundreds of applications, not limited but like the following:
• skid for fiscal measurement of gas and liquid hidrocarbons,
• sulphur recovery unit,
• desulfurizing plants,
• blending for gasoline and diesel,
• combustion control,
• solutions for refineries. Our experience allows us to deploy a complete support, from the application study to the validated
information to DCS. In all its business units (process analyser, metering and fire and gas) SOCRATE offers a continuative
technical support, ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, consultancies and training through the service
department where a dozen of service engineer, trained continuously by the principals. The SOCRATE actual markets are the Italian, the Spanish, the Greek, the Mediterranean and the Russian
area through branches, subsidiaries or exclusive distributors.
