These are my guys from the NESYA Laboratory. They are my treasure, the most beautiful result of all my research, the most perfect answer to every exam I’ve ever given. They are everything I’ve ever wished for from my life spent at university.
We haven’t won the Nobel Prize (yet), but we have earned respect and scientific authority around the world. We are many now, always hungry for knowledge and improvements, working together with friendship, mutual respect, and deep affection. This is our most precious good, not to be taken for granted in this world, which makes us truly special.

Another great experience together with my guys of the NESYA Laboratory during the Open DIET 2025, the open day of the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione, Elettronica e Telecomunicazioni (DIET)!!!🔝🤩

At the stand on "Quantum Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks", among many research and teaching topics, we also presented an Arduino simulation of the Quantum Random Walk and a quantum implementation, by the QASM assembly language, of the famous DOOM first-person shooter videogame!!! 💥😍

It was a great pleasure and scientific fulfilment to hold a presentation on Quantum Machine Leaning at the Qiskit Fall Fest 2024, a workshop on Quantum Computing at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II with more than 200 participants and many enthusiastic students ready to dive into this new fantastic world!

A truly exciting and wonderful day, shared with friends and colleagues from several important institutions operating worldwide in the quantum field, in particular Michele Grossi, Edoardo Giusto, Silvia Zorzetti, Davide Corbelletto, Davide Moretti, Elías Fernández-Combarro Álvarez.

My heartfelt thanks to the guys from the NESYA Laboratory at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione, Elettronica e Telecomunicazioni (DIET) of the Sapienza Università di Roma, which I had the honor to represent as its Director. I illustrated and discussed the most recent activities with state-of-the-art results we achieved on Quantum Optimization and Quantum Deep Learning, also sharing our vision and the perspectives about the future of Quantum Computing and Quantum AI.

A special thanks also to the Organizers of this event, who made an outstanding job, in particular to Roberto Schiattarella, Angela Chiatto, Allegra Cuzzocrea, Alfredo Massa and Andrea Senese.

OPEN CALL FOR A 3-YEAR SAPIENZA's PHD ON QUANTUM AI, NEURAL NETWORKS, DEEP LEARNING & RELATED APPLICATIONS

The call for admission to the 40th cycle Research Doctorate courses at the Sapienza Università di Roma is published! Applications to participate in the competition must be submitted without fail by 20 June 2024 at 11:59 pm (Italian time).

The Ph.D. with a supporting grant will last 3 years, from November 2024 to October 2027. Sarà presentata l'offerta didattica del Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione, Elettronica e Telecomunicazioni dell'Università di Roma "La Sapienza" per i corsi di laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica e Ingegneria delle Comunicazioni.
Sarà un evento dinamico e coinvolgente che prevede attività interattive con i ricercatori del Dipartimento e presentazioni di numerose aziende del settore allo scopo di illustrare le principali attività di ricerca e sviluppo.
