CNR-INM researcher Andrea Serani has received the AVT Young Contributor Award – Spring 2026 from the Applied Vehicle Technology Panel of the NATO Science and Technology Organization.
The award was presented during the AVT Panel Business Meeting in Bordeaux, France, and recognizes his contributions to AVT activities in the areas of simulation-based design optimization, multi-fidelity surrogate modeling, uncertainty quantification, reduced-order modeling, and machine-learning-enhanced vehicle design.
Andrea Serani’s collaboration with NATO STO/AVT began in 2013 and has included contributions to several international research activities focused on advanced methodologies for aeronautical, naval, and underwater vehicle systems.
This recognition highlights the role of CNR-INM in the development of innovative computational methods for vehicle design, optimization, and analysis, with applications in mobility, transportation, defense, and marine technologies.
