In lowland areas and cities, pollution and allergens tend to build up more easily in the air, increasing the likelihood of asthma symptoms and allergic reactions. In the mountains, however, environmental and climate conditions may be more favourable for people with respiratory conditions: at higher altitudes, the air is less dense and humid, generally cooler and less polluted, partly thanks to the presence of forests. But what is the ideal altitude? According to researchers, the most beneficial conditions are generally found between 1,500 and 2,000 metres, where adapting to altitude is also easier. Above 2,000 metres, however, the air may become too thin.

What happens in a smoker's brain 🧠
Brain scans show that smokers often have:

Is a smoke-free world possible? The UK says YES 🌍

May 31st marks World No To***co Day, a global initiative promoted by World Health Organization to raise awareness about the dangers of to***co use. This year, we’re marking the occasion by sharing one of the most groundbreaking public health developments of recent weeks: the UK is moving toward banning the sale of to***co products to anyone born after January 1st, 2009.

To***co and Vapes Bill: one step closer 🚭

The To***co and Vapes Bill has recently cleared Parliament, bringing the vision of a smoke-free generation closer to reality. After agreement between the Commons and the Lords on the final draft, the bill now awaits royal assent, which would grant ministers new powers to regulate to***co, va**ng, and ni****ne products.

What will change? 🚭

This legislation is part of a broader strategy to reduce the harm caused by smoking. It will make it illegal for retailers to sell to***co products to anyone born after 2008, effectively phasing out smoking for future generations.
But that’s not all:

👉 Va**ng will be banned in cars carrying children, as well as in playgrounds and school grounds
👉 It will also be restricted in hospitals (allowed only in designated outdoor areas for those using e-cigarettes to quit)

Smoking and va**ng will still be permitted in private homes, outdoor hospitality settings like pub gardens, and open public spaces such as beaches.

Is nose breathing better?
