1978
From the Master in carpentry Anton Brand, that by postal service and by bike held the first deliveries, the experience has been transmitted to Ing. Theodor Kaus, luckier in this sense, who could take advantage of a car. In 1978, with the purpose to create a blend of technology and creativity, the know-how and passion were transferred to Italy by Franco Bortoluzzi, who, as Italian emigrated to Germany, accepted with enthusiasm and determination the challenge of father Theodor, founding in Jesolo, near Venice, Borma Wachs. Since that moment, the technological exchange of materials as well as several and intense technical experiences has allowed the growth up to today's B.P.S. Borma Wachs, today BPS srl, is led by the fourth generation, with the ambition to keep alive, and if shared, improve, an almost century-old tradition, the passion for the wood industry, with an extreme care for quality and eco-sustainability.

Log Sealer is a water-based sealer developed to protect the ends of beams, posts and other wooden structures exposed to moisture and adverse weather conditions. It is also suitable for sealing longitudinal cracks.
Its function is to limit moisture pe*******on into the wood, helping prevent mould formation and extending the service life of both the protective coating system and the wooden structure itself.

🪵 Before and after: how to renew and protect a log home
Restoring a log cabin requires products designed to solve real-world problems, such as gaps between logs and lost thermal insulation. This before-and-after comparison clearly shows the impact of a targeted intervention on wood worn down by time and harsh weather.
To seal joints without the risk of cracking or peeling over time, ECOSEAL 500 by Borma Wachs was used. As a water-based elastic sealant, it easily adapts to the natural movement of the wood caused by temperature shifts, effectively blocking draughts, moisture, and water infiltration.
The result is not only a significant boost in insulation, but also a striking aesthetic: the clean lines of the sealant contrast with the warm tones of the logs, enhancing the structure’s architecture for a refined, modern look.

Prima e dopo: come rinnovare e proteggere una casa in tronchi 🪵✨
Il restauro di una struttura in legno richiede prodotti in grado di risolvere problemi reali, come le crepe tra le travi e la perdita di isolamento termico. Il confronto tra il prima e il dopo mostra chiaramente l’efficacia di un intervento mirato su un legno segnato dagli anni e dalle intemperie.
Per sigillare le fessure senza rischiare distacchi nel tempo è stato utilizzato ECOSEAL 500 di Borma Wachs. Trattandosi di un sigillante elastico all’acqua, segue i continui movimenti del legno dovuti al caldo e al freddo, bloccando gli spifferi, l’umidità e le infiltrazioni d’acqua.
Il risultato non è solo un netto miglioramento dell’isolamento della casa, ma anche un impatto visivo unico: le linee chiare della sigillatura staccano sui toni caldi del tronco, evidenziando le forme dell’edificio e donando un aspetto curato e moderno.
