The sculptures shown here are 2 of the 6 artworks developed and produced by Regolo Studio for the Costa Serena cruise ship.

The entire process involved advanced 3D modeling, large-format 3D printing, structural optimization, surface processing, and high-quality finishing. Every phase required close collaboration between designers, technicians, and production specialists to ensure precision, durability, and aesthetic impact.

From a 3D file to a monumental real-world sculpture.
For this project created for Costa Crociere and the cruise ship Costa Serena, we transformed a digital idea into a 2.30-meter-tall sculpture through a complete advanced prototyping and additive manufacturing process.
The journey started from the original 3D model and evolved through:
• high-precision SLA prototyping
• large-scale FDM printing
• modular component production
• structural assembly
• metallic gold finishing and painting
A workflow that combines design, engineering, craftsmanship, and industrial 3D printing technologies.
We also wanted to tell this story through a cinematic video showcasing the progressive transformation: from digital to physical, from concept to final installation onboard.
Because at Regolo Studio, we believe every idea can become reality.
