For the Concentrix building in Lecce, ForMe Design Battens 50 define the façade through a continuous vertical rhythm, framing the glazed openings and creating a warm contrast with the dark cladding through the oak effect finish.

The aluminum profiles extend between floors to form a solar shading layer that helps control strong sunlight while maintaining airflow and visual continuity across the elevation.

On the rooftop terrace, Battens 50 continue in a distinctive 90° configuration, moving from vertical screening to the overhead structure to create a shaded outdoor space.

The system generates a changing pattern of shadows across exterior and interior surfaces, combining architectural expression with protection from wind gusts and fire resistance.

Birmingham gave us another opportunity to put materials, ideas and projects around the same table.

On 7th October, ForMe Design joined EH Smith at Specifi Birmingham, meeting architects and specifiers to discuss the role of architectural aluminium systems across façades and interior applications.

Specifi creates the right setting to move from product to project: exploring profiles and finishes in person, looking closely at materials and discussing how different systems can respond to specific architectural requirements.

We presented ForMe Design solutions for cladding and architectural façades, including aluminium battens and a wide selection of colours, wood-effect and material-effect finishes, sharing their design possibilities directly with the professionals who specify them.

At ATCC’s new biomanufacturing facility in Manassas, Virginia, ForMe Design Battens50 screen the large ventilation openings while becoming part of the façade composition.

Arranged vertically and horizontally, Battens 50 creates an aluminum shading system, while the Flamed Cherry Light finish adds warmth and contrast to the grey industrial envelope.

A technical requirement translated into architectural rhythm through aluminium.

At this contemporary villa in Cervia, 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞.
Battens Light defines the upper volumes through a continuous vertical rhythm, while Battens 50 integrates solar shading in front of the large glazed openings.

Two different functions, connected by the same material and finish: 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐀𝐬𝐡 𝐇𝐃𝟑𝟏𝟖 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐏 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, creating visual continuity across the façade.

The flexibility of SKIN systems allows the profiles to respond to the geometry of the building, shaping the relationship between material, light and transparency.

The result is an envelope where cladding and shading are not separate elements, but 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡.

𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 reveals a contemporary villa where architecture meets the landscape through rhythm, transparency and material.

Large glazed surfaces open the interiors towards the garden, while a continuous vertical rhythm defines the building envelope.

At the heart of São Paulo’s Pinheiros district, Biosquare stands as a large-scale mixed-use development where architecture, openness, and urban identity come together.

Across its extensive glazed façades, vertical aluminium elements create a distinctive architectural rhythm, giving depth and character to the building’s volumes.

ForMe Design SKIN Battens 50 contribute to this composition with profiles reaching up to 6 metres in height, combining visual continuity with the precision of an aluminium façade system.

At Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in Gilbert, Arizona, the façade combines large glazed surfaces with a continuous sequence of aluminium profiles, creating a strong and distinctive architectural identity.

ForMe Design Battens 50 work both as solar shading in front of the glazing and as aluminium cladding across the closed sections of the façade.

A bespoke configuration developed with Omnis Panels combines two different profile depths within the same composition, adding variation and depth while maintaining a consistent visual language.

Face-to-face conversations still matter.

On 9th September, ForMe Design joined Dalply at Specifi Edinburgh, bringing our architectural aluminium systems directly into conversation with architects and construction professionals at the Assembly Rooms.

Events like Specifi create a valuable space to step away from the screen, explore materials and finishes in person, exchange ideas and discuss the challenges behind real projects.

It was a pleasure to showcase ForMe Design solutions for architectural façades, cladding and internal applications, including aluminium battens and a wide range of colours, wood-effect and material-effect finishes.
