🇬🇧🇺🇸We have launched an improved version of our pinion-cage for rack & pinion systems, designed to enhance animal welfare on poultry farms 🐥🐓🦃🦆.
After analyzing the needs of several clients in the poultry sector, we determined it was necessary to design a safety-enhanced pinion-cage to prevent birds from inserting parts of their bodies into the unit while it is in motion.
Animals are naturally very curious, and there have been instances where birds have suffered mutilations after inserting their wings or beaks into the pinion-cage.

Our R&D department got to work, and we have now introduced this new pinion-cage, which effectively prevents any harm to the animals.

Below are some images of the new protective pinion-cage.

🇬🇧🇺🇸In animal farming—whether for poultry🐥, cattle🐮, or swine🐷—ventilation is an essential factor for animal welfare and for achieving high operational performance.

At Viale Sistemi, we leverage both our clients' feedback and our own expertise to develop efficient ventilation systems tailored to each individual farm.

Using our PRP-series gearmotor, equipped with a pulley and telescopic arms, we can operate roll-up curtains that open either from top to bottom or from bottom to top.
The attached images show a curtain installation designed to open from top to bottom—as requested by the client—utilizing a telescopic arm to retract the curtain at the bottom.

🇬🇧🇺🇸We recently visited a large project in Orlando (Florida, USA🇺🇸) that is being finalized by one of our clients, a manufacturer of high-tech greenhouses.
The project involves a greenhouse facility for growing lettuce for the fresh-cut (ready-to-eat) market🥬. It features a structure specifically designed to withstand the region's harsh climate, including tornadoes (Florida averages 68 tornadoes annually and has the highest frequency of tornadoes per 10,000 square miles-16,000km2- of any U.S. state).
It is a project that impresses due to its sheer scale; here are some key figures:
- 500,000 m² distributed across 18 blocks.
- 4km greenhouse's front walls.
- 350 containers of materials.
- 1,500 gearmotors and 3,000 telescopic arms.
- A workforce of over 150 installers.

The greenhouse boasts a high ventilation capacity, featuring roof, side, and front-wall vents operated by gearmotors and telescopic arms.
A unique feature of this project is the use of roll-up roof vents operated by telescopic arms, capable of opening 5 meters on each roof slope (leaving the roof almost entirely open).
For the roll-up roof vents of this project, we have manufactured custom-made and reinforced telescopic arms that allow the plastic to be tensioned at any time of year, allowing it to adapt to expansion during periods of high temperatures and to contractions during the cold months.

🇬🇧🇺🇸We are showcasing a new project nearing completion for one of our clients specializing in the manufacture of high-tech tunnels for berry cultivation🍓🫐.
The photo shows a close-up of the gearmotor line that enables the tunnel roofs to open fully, ensuring an ideal climate at every stage of crop growth.
For these types of vents, they use our PRP3 model, which features an output shaft speed of 3 rpm. The low shaft speed allows for excellent control of the internal climate, in accordance with the climate control computer's settings.

🇬🇧🇺🇸Recently, one of our Spanish clients completed a gable-roof greenhouse project in Turkey🇹🇷.
This is a unique design, in which the end user opted for a plastic greenhouse structure with a gable roof made of cellular polycarbonate. Due to the windows' considerable weight, our most powerful gearmotor, the DVE2 model with 0.75 HP and 450 Nm of torque, was chosen to operate the roof vents. This gearmotor ensures smooth and reliable operation of the vents.

🇬🇧🇺🇸In 1959, our story began in a small workshop in Taggia, on the Ligurian coast🇮🇹, where Mr. Viale dedicated himself to developing specific ventilation systems to improve the greenhouses being built on the so-called Riviera of Flowers for cut flower production💐🌹🌸.

Today, 67 years later, we are still located in the same town where we were founded, although with improved facilities that include our factory and headquarters🏭, but with the same undiminished enthusiasm for progress and improving our products every day.

We have also expanded our scope of work, and are now a leading company in both the greenhouse and animal farming sectors.
