3D printing is proving to be an important innovation for fashion accessories, because it shortens production times in two ways:
- with printed parts that can be painted or metallized through surface treatments such as sputtering;
- with indirect production, which uses castable resins.

As in jewelry making, lost-wax investment casting makes it possible to create chains and other metal objects, with the advantage of controlling the weight of the object and reducing time to market.

La stampa 3D si sta rivelando un'innovazione importante per gli accessori moda, perchรฉ riduce i tempi di produzione in due modi:
- con pezzi stampati che possono essere verniciati o metallizzati attraverso trattamenti superficiali come lo sputtering;
- con la produzione indiretta, che utilizza resine fondibili.

In this case, the goal was to push the mold to its limits in a cycle test. The test also proved useful for checking the dimensions of both the mold and the molded part, an electrical component.
