PFM Group was founded in 1964 and has since achieved world-class status in the design and manufacture of flexible packaging machinery.

PFM Packaging Machinery is an industrial group made up of 15 companies: the Italian parent packaging machine manufacturer, PFM Packaging Machinery, which works alongside the UK PFM LTD, PFM North America, PFM US Division, PFM Germany, PFM Russia, PFM Iberica, PFM Asia Pacific, PFM France companies. BG Pack SPA, which is based in Bergamo, specialises in manufacturing special packaging machines for

recloseable packaging. MBP, a company based in Mantua, specialises in the production of multihead weighers, SPS Italiana Pack Systems, manufactures automatic handling and packaging machines for chocolate bars and wafers, as well as baked goods and biscuits packaging machines. In 2006 PFmeccanica is founded to form a new production centre for mechanical components. In 2018 PFMTechlab was born: an advanced engineering centre working on the latest packaging technologies.
