⚡In the attempts to tackle climate change 🌡️, in a joint effort between CREST and Electrochemistry Group - Politecnico di Torino, we are also facing the challenges of the scaling up of 🌾Ammonia production ⚗️from the electrochemical N2 and nitrates conversion...
Great work by Noemi Pirrone Simelys Hernandez Sara Garcia Ballesteros and Federico Bella

Our new paper addresses different membranes for electrochemical nitrogen reduction processes into ammonia, studying how ammonium ions move from catholyte to anolyte solutions inside a flow-cell reactor.

We're thrilled to share our research aimed at developing a biosensor for drug screening! 🎉👩‍🔬
The fight against faces a significant hurdle with acquired resistance to traditional treatments. Recent studies unveil a promising avenue: the development of selective LDH-A inhibitors as potential game-changers in cancer therapy. 💊👩‍🔬 The focus of our research? Creating stable and active biocatalysts to be employed in a two-section biosensor for effective drug screening. The team adopted innovative techniques, immobilizing the human LDH-A enzyme on mesoporous silica (MCM-41) to form a reproducible biosensor. These findings mark a significant step forward in immobilization on inorganic porous supports, offering a pathway to create robust biocatalyst-based . 💡🔍
