The Formula SAE Italy & Formula Electric Italy is the official SAE Italian event organized by ATA since 2005. It is a student design competition which involves University teams of all over the world. The concept behind Formula SAE is that a fictional manufacturing company has contracted a design team to develop a small Formula-style race car. The prototype race car is to be evaluated for its poten

tial as a production item. The target marketing group for the race car is the non-professional weekend autocross racer. Each student team designs, builds and tests a prototype based on a series of rules whose purpose is both to ensure onsite event operations and promote clever problem solving. Formula SAE promotes careers and excellence in engineering as it encompasses all aspects of the automotive industry including research, design, manufacturing, testing, developing, marketing, management and finances. Formula SAE takes students out of the classroom and allows them to apply textbook theories to real work experiences. The classes of competitions are 3: Class 1C for combustion cars, Class 1E for full electric cars and Class 3 for teams attending with the project only. From 2017 edition on, Formula SAE Italy & Formula Electric Italy are organized by ATA witihin the framework of ANFIA-Italian Association of the Automotive Industry

For Formula SAE Italy 2026, we're preparing a special moment for the paddock: a curated selection of team videos that will be projected on the big screen at Autodromo Varano, telling the real story behind this year's cars and the people who built them.

We invite every team to send a short, emotional video that captures your journey, from the first design sketches to the final result, from teamwork to track day.

๐ŸŽฅ Video guidelines:
โ€“ Format: .mp4
โ€“ Max duration: 2 minutes
โ€“ No spoken parts (music is allowed, copyright-free track recommended)
โ€“ Original footage from this year's project only (no recycled or previously published clips)

The most powerful stories will be projected live at the event. The best entries will also be used to create the official Formula SAE Italy 2026 teaser, shared across our social media channels ahead of the competition.

Participation is voluntary, but it's a real opportunity to show your passion, your effort and your team spirit to the entire Formula SAE community. ๐Ÿ
