Job Title: Postdoctoral position in encapsulation technologies

Description: The Postdoctoral position will be following a project aimed at the development of nano and micro-carriers for target cancer therapy. He/she will also collaborate with the R&D team on the development of existing R&D projects and their ex*****on, assisting in the implementation of experiments by conducting established and new protocols related, but not limited to encapsulation techniques and assays.
A suitable candidate for this role has a Ph.D. in material science, nanomaterial, biotechnology, etc., experience in encapsulation is a must, works autonomously has a deep understanding of the inner workings of a lab, and uses this knowledge to foresee potential issues and proactively improve processes.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
· Assist with and supervise various research projects
· Manage reporting, monitoring, resources, and laboratory personnel (students and junior R&D)
· Work closely with the other team members to provide effective solutions to support business and quality objectives
· Facilitate effective communication across the team members by trending and reporting data
· Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, budgets, and schedules
· Conducting research and studies for the development of new encapsulation technologies and products, experimental tests, analyses, and sampling
· Maintain contacts with other national and international research centers and organizations
· Participate in the industrialization of new products or modifications of existing ones, in the definition of raw material specifications, and in searching for new suppliers.
Skills and Qualifications
· Ph.D. Degree in Biotechnology or similar
· Knowledge of laboratory equipment
· 3+ years of project management or supervisory experience
· Experience in encapsulation is a must
· Strong problem-solving, team building, and mentoring abilities
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Fluency in both English and Italian
· Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad for visits to suppliers and partners
· Result orientated
