Production and delivery times: let’s clarify

When ordering custom packaging, it is important to distinguish between production time and delivery time. The date on which the pouches are ready at the factory does not necessarily coincide with the date they arrive at their destination.

At Packstyle, these two aspects are always considered separately. Production is fast thanks to digital printing and flexible minimum order management, which allows orders to be started very quickly.

Window or full coverage for light-sensitive products?

In the packaging of matcha tea, supplements, and cosmetics, selecting the required barrier level and whether to include a transparent window is a key design consideration.

Light protection is an intrinsic property of the film and depends on its structure, the materials used, and the lamination treatments. Transparent materials, in fact, do not provide protection against light and may not be suitable for photosensitive products.

The window therefore becomes primarily a communication choice, which must always be evaluated together with the level of protection required by the product.
In packaging for sensitive products, the rule is simple: first define the performance of the material, then evaluate the aesthetic solutions.

In flexible packaging, aesthetics are never just about appearance.

A window on film is possible, but it must be engineered: material compatibility, barrier management, and the impact on recyclability are structural aspects, not just graphic choices.

The metallized effect doesn’t depend only on the material either: it can be achieved with metallized films or with aluminum through technical control of selective white and the print layer structure. It is precisely the control of white that allows the creation of gloss/matte contrasts, depth, and metallic reflections, while maintaining technical and environmental consistency.

Aluminum or recyclable metallized film? The choice of material makes the difference.

In food and supplement packaging, protection and sustainability must go hand in hand.
Aluminum provides the highest barrier available, but when laminated with other materials it becomes a multi-material structure, making the recycling process more complex. Do recyclable materials really protect powdered products like supplements?

It’s one of the questions we are asked most often, and at Packstyle, the answer is: “Yes, we’ve tested it.”

Es una de las preguntas que nos hacen con más frecuencia. Desde Packstyle, nuestra respuesta es «Sí, lo hemos probado».

En colaboración con Unired, una empresa derivada de la Universidad de Padua, hemos probado nuestras soluciones de packaging reciclable en condiciones mucho más severas que las reales: altas temperaturas, humedad elevada y estrés prolongado.

En realidad, son situaciones extremas que difícilmente ocurren en el uso cotidiano de un producto.

¿Cuál es el resultado?
