Champions Race Day Event

The JLA would like to extend our thanks to Building Renovations Ltd & The Havard Group for their support with our ongoing fundraising drive, by sponsoring the forthcoming Champions Race Day, being held at Les Landes on Sunday 30th August 2026.

The support of local business is a critical part of how the JLA can continue to offer our key lifesaving services to those using our local waters.

The JLA crew are trained to international recognised levels and hold Advanced Casualty Care qualifications, to ensure that when we do get the call, we can offer the best service to those in their hour of need.

Operating the most technically advanced and fastest inshore lifeboat in the UK adds to our ability to get to you fast in winds up to force 8.

Our all-weather lifeboat is nearing completion of the major engine refit and technical upgrade and should be back in the waters around our Island in a few week’s time.

As the only truly voluntary and local lifeboat service in Jersey, receiving no government support, we rely on the kind donations from the public and businesses of the Island.

Yesterday, at the Jersey Battle of Flowers Trophy Presentation & Celebration BBQ, we were incredibly proud to be presented with the Prix d’Honneur. 🏆

To every single person who played a part in this achievement, whether you designed, built, engineered, decorated, flowered, performed, organised, supported, or simply got stuck in whenever needed… THIS ONE’S FOR YOU. 🏆

Two years of teamwork, dedication and hard graft resulted in something pretty special — our record-equalling 20th Prix d’Honneur!

It’s been an absolute privilege for Building Renovations Ltd to support you over the past five years and to play a small part in bringing so many spectacular exhibits to life.

Thank you to everyone at The Optimists for the kind words, the memories and for letting us be part of such a special chapter. We’re incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved and will certainly be cheering you on from the sidelines.

While this particular sponsorship journey has come to an end, Building Renovations Ltd remains committed to supporting local clubs, charities, community initiatives and other worthwhile causes across the Island. What an incredible few days it has been — sooo hot, long hours, Scottish tunes and thousands upon thousands of flowers bringing two years of hard work to life.

From the very first design to the very last flower, this has been a huge team effort, and we couldn’t be prouder of what everyone has achieved. ❤️

A massive THANK YOU and WELL DONE to every single person who has designed, built, created, decorated, flowered, fixed, lifted, carried, glued and grafted their way to this moment.

We are proud to have been appointed Principal Contractor for the recently completed project at Jersey Cheshire Home.

The project has facilitated the introduction of three additional bedrooms, relocation of the gymnasium, creation of a new specialist therapy room and admin office.
