The Jamaica Association of Composers, Authors and Publishers (JACAP) is a non-profit membership Collective Management Organization (CMO).

JACAP administers the public performance and if assigned also, the mechanical (reproductive) rights and synchronization rights of lyricists (authors), music composers and music publishers in Jamaica. JACAP is a member of the umbrell

a organisation for copyright societies is CISAC - The International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers. JACAP is also a founding member of The Association of Caribbean Copyright Societies (ACCS). JACAP collects license fees from music users and distributes the money as royalties to writers and publishers of music. JACAP has reciprocal agreements with its overseas affiliates and through these agreements represents over 2 million creators of music. This means that each CMO collects and transmits all collected royalties to the respective CMO's.

The Entertainment Management and Cultural Enterprise Management Programme at The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, will be running a series of 3-day and 2-day short courses, this May and June 2026, on Event Planning and Design and Artist Management. These courses will provide insight on how event entrepreneurs, managers, and planners, as well as upcoming artist managers, can sharpen their skills and improve their businesses.

As an added bonus, participants will leave with a UWI Certificate of Participation.

Sessions are 9 am-4 pm daily, Wednesday-Friday (3-day), and Thursday-Friday (2-day).
