THE CHASE IS ON
Peace feels like boredom, silence feels like something is wrong, So we create chaos just to feel alive. We chase conflict. We chase people who run. We chase deadlines we made up. Not because we need the ball. Because we need the running. The chase gives us purpose. The adrenaline tells us we matter. Without it, we do not know who we are.
The problem is the ball keeps moving.
You catch one thing and the thrill dies fast. The promotion comes and three days later you are empty again. The relationship gets serious and suddenly you need drama to feel the spark. The argument ends and you start a new one just to get your heart rate up. We call it passion. It is addiction. We are not chasing goals. We are chasing the feeling of chasing. And like a dog, we will bite the hand that tries to make us sit and stay. Rest feels like death when your identity is built on motion.
I am done running just to run. If I chase, let it be worth it. If I get worked up, let it be for something that lasts when the ball stops bouncing.
