Istiklal Library مكتبة الاستقلال Established in 1940, ISTIKLAL Library boasts a rich history and an extensive range of products.

أضاءت مكتبة الاستقلال منذ تأسيسها عام 1940 في شارع الامير محمد وسط عمان شمعة أنارت درب طلبة العلم عندما أخذت على عاتقها طباعة وتوزيع الكتب المنهجية على المدارس في المملكة لمدة 19 عاما.

واستمرت المكتبة التي أسسها المرحوم حسن رشيد طبيشات في طباعة وتوزيع الكتب المدرسية منذ عام 1947 وحتى 1966 الى ان توقفت بعد ان أخذت وزارة التربية والتعليم على عاتقها هذه المهمة الوطنية.

لمدرسية التي طبعتها ونشرتها المكتبة في حينه وصل الى 132 عنوانا لمؤلفين كان من بينهم المرحوم ذوقان الهنداوي والمرحوم ابراهيم القطان.

واستمرت المكتبة في عملها طيلة تلك السنين وما زالت حتى أصبح لها ثلاثة فروع في عمان موزعة في وسط البلد والصويفية والشميساني، و هي الأن أضخم مكتبة في المملكة لبيع القرطاسية المكتبية، المدرسية و الجامعية و أدوات الفن أيضا.
