GreenTech and the Smart Desert Company had the pleasure to join a Jordanian VIP delegation to the SelectUSA Summit in Washington, D.C., held under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Over the course of a very busy week, meetings were held with senior members of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Commerce, The World Bank Group, the IFC - International Finance Corporation, the Syrian Chargé d'Affaires to the US, the Jordanian Ambassador to the US, professional Jordanian expats working in the DC area, State representatives, and many executives from US companies intending to expand to the MENA region.

We would like to thank the U.S. Embassy Amman, Jordan, the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham-Jordan), and all those that made this mission a great success.

Across the UAE, GreenTech has delivered large-scale solar street lighting projects - from Al Furjan and Ras Ghumais to Al Samha and Bida Almutaww - contributing to more than 20,000 installed poles regionally. These projects demonstrate how reliable, high-performance off-grid lighting can be deployed at scale, supporting new urban developments, industrial zones, and remote areas alike.

Compared to conventional grid-connected poles, solar street lighting eliminates electricity bills, reduces trenching and cabling costs, and significantly lowers long-term maintenance requirements. With integrated PV panels, smart controllers, and long-life batteries, modern systems offer 5-10+ years of dependable operation while cutting carbon emissions and protecting municipalities from rising energy costs.
