Tortoise General Store was started with the concept of "Slow and Steady" design.
Curated selection of timeless Japanese home goods with a story. It is a dealer of daily tools that improve daily life and mature with their owner. It first opened its doors in 2003 on the popular pedestrian street of Abbot Kinney, then re-opened a new storefront in Mar Vista, guided by the store’s basic philosophy of a slow and steady life.
PLYWOOD laboratory maintains a close and friendly partnership with the owner of this store. They have kindly restocked our signature paperweight “koishi” and the popular “Animal Puzzle Series” in preparation for the summer season.
