It was a great honor to meet with H.E. Mr. B. Delgersaikhan, Minister of Roads and Transport of Mongolia, during our recent visit to Ulaanbaatar.

We had a valuable discussion on the future development of Chinggis Khaan International Airport and the important role that aviation infrastructure can play in supporting Mongolia’s tourism, trade, and economic growth.

I was impressed by the Minister’s clear vision for strengthening Mongolia’s international connectivity while maximizing opportunities for Mongolian companies and expertise in future airport development.

As an airport planning consultant, I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to exchange views with the Ministry, CAAM, NUBIA, and other stakeholders. I look forward to contributing our international experience to the sustainable development of Mongolia’s aviation sector.

Gyros Corporation is honored to participate in the Groundbreaking Ceremony for “The Project for the Improvement of Vientiane International Airport,” held on 22 May 2025 in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including:

• Mr. Koizumi Tsutomu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Lao PDR
• Ms. Kobayashi Miyako, Chief Representative of the JICA Laos Office

This important milestone marks the beginning of a project that will enhance airport infrastructure, operational capacity, and connectivity in Laos.

Kick-Off Meeting Successfully Held for Vientiane Airport Improvement Project

On 27 March 2026, the Kick-Off Meeting for The Project for Improvement of Vientiane Airport, a Japanese Grant Aid Project, was successfully held at the DCA Conference Room in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

Gyros Corporation is honored to serve as the Lead Consultant in a joint venture with Azusa Sekkei. The project is being implemented with Hazama Ando Corporation as the contractor, under the leadership of the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA).

The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including the JICA Laos Office, DCA, Airports of Laos (AOL), L-JATS, LANS, and ATS, marking a strong start to collaboration on the project.

Project Overview:
This project officially commenced today and is scheduled for completion in April 2028. The scope includes:
• Expansion of the international departure lounge
• Installation of an arrival baggage claim belt in the domestic terminal
• Rehabilitation of apron and taxiway pavements
• Rehabilitation of the aeronautical ground lighting system
