On June 1, we were pleased to welcome Dr. Mika Nagae and the staff of the Urogynecology Department at Kameda Medical Center to our Tsukuba factory.
During the visit, we introduced the manufacturing process behind ORIHIME, our mesh product for pelvic organ prolapse surgery, and shared the quality control systems and production technologies that support its development.
The visitors showed great interest in our manufacturing approach and were pleased to learn more about the craftsmanship and attention to detail behind CROWNJUN products. We were also grateful to receive positive feedback on both ORIHIME and our surgical sutures, which continue to support healthcare professionals in their daily practice.
Beyond the production floor, our guests enjoyed exploring the facility and learning about the culture and philosophy behind our company.

We were honored to be part of the CME – Basic Microsurgical Courses in Andrology and Sexual Medicine, held at Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam, from May 27–29, 2026.

Led by Prof. Hoai Bac, Dr. Do Ich Dinh, Dr. Nguyen Van Viet, Dr. Thai Duy Quang, Dr. Tran Van Kien, and Dr. Nguyen Cao Thang, the course brought together surgeons and healthcare professionals for hands-on training and educational sessions in microsurgery for andrology and sexual medicine.

The course offered a meaningful opportunity for participants to practice, learn, and exchange ideas in microsurgery.

🫀 What is an aortic aneurysm, and how is it treated?

In today's CROWNJUN Lab Notes, we introduce the basics of aortic aneurysm, treatment options, and the “Kawasaki Special” technique developed at Kawasaki Saiwai Hospital for open aortic surgery.

This technique uses CROWNJUN ASFLEX PVDF sutures and Feltina pledgets to support secure anastomosis in aortic graft replacement surgery.

ASFLEX was selected for its inertness and resistance to deterioration, helping reduce the risk of suture line breakage even many years after surgery.

On May 20, we were pleased to welcome Mr. Max, President of MITAKA USA, Mr. Eric, Vice President of MITAKA USA, and Mr. Tomasz, President of MITAKA EUROPE, to our factory.

During the visit, we introduced our new factory and shared the manufacturing process behind CROWNJUN surgical sutures with needles, including our quality control and production technologies.
They showed great interest in our in-house development of both needles and sutures, as well as products such as the NEO Needle Holder and PICOCLAMP(vascular clamp made from PEEK).

We were grateful to hear that the visit helped them feel the craftsmanship, detail, and brand value behind CROWNJUN products.

CROWNJUN at the Beijing Operating Room Nursing Academic Annual Conference 2026

From May 22–23, 2026, CROWNJUN made its first appearance at the Beijing Operating Room Nursing Academic Annual Conference, held at the Beijing Guoce International Convention & Exhibition Center.

At our booth, we showcased a range of core products, including microsurgical sutures, ASFLEX sutures(PVDF sutures), TSUGE Looped Sutures, and PICOCLAMP(vascular clamp made from PEEK).

Many operating room nursing professionals stopped by our booth to discover CROWNJUN products. We were also grateful to hear from visitors who have already used our sutures and kindly shared their experiences with their peers.

For first-time visitors, our team introduced the key features of each product line, leading to many meaningful conversations throughout the event. PICOCLAMP attracted strong interest, with many attendees having the opportunity to see and handle the product up close. Its precise craftsmanship and high quality received positive feedback from visitors. Our USP 12-0 and 12-0s microsurgical sutures also drew attention, leading to many photos, questions, and discussions at the booth✨

This exhibition was a valuable opportunity to increase brand visibility, connect with clinical professionals, and share the quality behind CROWNJUN products.

Kawasaki Aortic Center is a specialized center for aortic disease treatment in Japan, known for its extensive surgical experience and treatment outcomes. Since its establishment in 2003, the center has also promoted international collaboration through overseas fellows and observers, participation in global scientific meetings, and surgical mentorship abroad.

With this strong clinical background, a published paper from physicians at Kawasaki Aortic Center offers valuable insight into open descending thoracic aortic replacement. The paper highlights that even in the endovascular era, open aortic surgery still plays an important role when complete reconstruction is required.

In the operative technique described, 3-0/4-0 ASFLEX PVDF suture was used in a double pledget mattress technique to reinforce the graft-to-aorta anastomosis.

This paper offers a meaningful example of ASFLEX being used in a core reconstructive anastomosis during open aortic surgery.

At A-Z Oncorecon 2026 held at AIIMS Delhi from May 8–10, our distributor team conducted a hands-on workshop featuring the Exo-scope and CROWNJUN microsurgical training sutures.

Through live demonstrations and practical simulation exercises, surgeons and delegates had the opportunity to explore precision visualization and microsurgical techniques in an interactive setting.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth and joined the workshop. We truly appreciated the great conversations, enthusiasm, and shared passion for microsurgical education throughout the event.

We were honored to support the Skopje Flap Course 2026 – Road to Mastery, held in Skopje, North Macedonia, from May 6–8.

Organized by the Macedonian Association for Reconstructive Microsurgery and the Faculty of Medicine, University Ss. Cyril and Methodius, with Dr. Sofija Pejkova as course organizer, the program brought together inspiring lectures and hands-on training in reconstructive microsurgery.

During the “Sewing with the Masters” session, our PICOCLAMP (vascular clamp made from PEEK), USP 9-0 training sutures, and practice tubes were used to support hands-on learning and microsurgical skill development.

We sincerely thank Dr. Sofija Pejkova, all lecturers, and all participants for making this meaningful program possible. We are grateful for the opportunity to support microsurgical education and contribute to the continued advancement of surgical training and patient care.
