『bypass pipe/バイパスパイプ』
Hello, thank you for your continued support.
The photo shows a 2008 model CB1300SF.
Starting from the 2008 model, the stock muffler was equipped with a catalyst.
From that year, in order to sell the bike, it was necessary to install a catalyst and pass the exhaust gas emission tests.
When development began, we initially attached a catalyst to the 2007 model muffler and checked the characteristics using a dynamometer.
However...
The results were actually worse than the stock muffler...
Since we wanted to sell a 4-1 collector system, we added a bypass to the exhaust pipe to improve performance.
While the performance did improve, the assembly process became a bit more complicated.
Even now, every time we receive an order, I recall the challenges faced during development while working on the product.
We will continue to keep this item in production, so we look forward to your orders.

写真は2008モデルのCB1300SFです。
2008年モデルから純正マフラーに触媒が装着されました。
この年から販売するには触媒を装着して排ガス試験をクリアしないといけなくなりました。
開発スタート時はとりあえず2007年モデル用マフラーに触媒を取付けてダイナモで特性をチェックしました。
すると・・・
純正マフラーを下回る結果が・・・
4-1集合で販売したかったので、エキパイにバイパスを追加して特性を向上させました。
特性は向上して良かったのですが、組み立てが少し面倒です。笑
今もご注文を頂くたびに、開発時の苦労を思い出しながら製作しています。
このアイテムもまだまだ廃盤にしませんので、ご注文お待ちしております。
