The institute now aims to expand its current range of products with a view to marketing them on the world stage.
1. Our group founder, Genichiro Kawachi, discovered a particular type of Koji called Aspergillus Kawachi and popularized its use with the production of high quality Shochu and other Japanese health food products.
2. We developed and established the GEN system which recycles by-produc
ts and wastes obtained from food production, manufacturing and consumption into dry feed for livestock. Our feed product not only allows growing healthy animals by fortifying their immune and digestive systems, but also changes livestock excreta into high quality manure with little odor. Given these appealing features our products are currently finding customers throughout Japan and abroad. On the basis of lessons learned from experiments in animal health, we have also developed health drinks and other products for human use. Using the Koji fermentation process our products are 100% natural, friendly to the environment, and safe and secure.
3. We have also made use of Koji microorganisms living symbiotically with, and in fact activating, other effective microorganisms. The microorganisms that biodegrade oil and fat can in fact be used in grease traps, a discovery stemming from research activity in symbiotic utilization. Moreover, we have established a system of cleaning not only oil and fat but also starch content in grease traps by adding Koji fermentation. We have started promoting these services in our own region.
4. Utilizing our own technology, we are now able to set up Value Recycle Chain for any industry related to waste or drainage resulting from food production or consumption. In particular, Recycle Pig farming is a technology we want to promote throughout Japan and abroad.
