Yokogawa Life Science

Yokogawa Life Science We have been providing Confocal spinning disk technology to life science field since 1996. Official Now, CSU, is de facto standard tool for live cell imaging.

Yokogawa Life Science center started development of the confocal spinning disk from 1987. We have been providing our micro-lens enhanced dual spinning disk technology, Confocal Scanner Unit (CSU), to life science research field since 1996. Today, we have several products for imaging and High Content Analysis field. We believe our products contribute further development of life science to innovating with our partners to create a brighter future.

Did you know that coastal ecosystems like mangroves, seagrasses, and salt marshes play a critical role in fighting climate change by acting as powerful carbon sinks? Unfortunately, their destruction releases millions of tons of carbon annually, worsening global warming.

In our latest blog post, we dive into the importance of blue carbon ecosystems, the challenges posed by green seaweed blooms, and how innovative genome-editing tools like CRISPR-Cas9 are unlocking sustainable solutions for marine ecosystems.

Discover how blue carbon ecosystems combat climate change by sequestering CO2, and how genome editing unlocks sustainable solutions for

It has been clarified that the acquisition of fibroblasts, which has been a bottleneck in elucidating the mechanisms of motor neuron diseases (such as ALS), can be replaced by induced motor neuron-like cells (iMNs) generated from urine-derived cells (UDCs), which can be obtained non-invasively. This technology is expected to contribute to the exploration of biomarkers and drugs related to motor neuron diseases. Explore how the CellVoyager CV8000 helped to gain new insights!

Direct cell-type conversion of somatic cells into cell types of interest has garnered great attention because it circumvents rejuvenation and preserves the hallmarks of cellular aging (unlike induced pluripotent stem cells [iPSCs]) and is more suitable for modeling diseases with strong age-related a...
