【About this building】
Located in Arlington, Texas, U.S., this massive stadium has a capacity of over 80,000.
It has been selected as one of the match venues for the global football tournament kicking off this June. For this tournament, membrane roofs worked on by Taiyo Kogyo, Birdair and our group companies have been adopted in four stadiums: Houston Stadium(NRG Stadium), Dallas Stadium (AT&T Stadium), Atlanta Stadium (Mercedes-Benz Stadium) and New York New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium), supporting the stages for heated matches.

【About the structure of this building】
Although the project was originally planned with a steel roof, the design was revised to take advantage of the lightweight properties of PTFE membranes, resulting in a retractable roof spanning 13,750 m².
The roof can open and close in just 12 minutes, and by utilizing the translucency of the membrane, natural light is introduced during the daytime, reducing the load on artificial lighting and providing a comfortable viewing environment.

今月に開幕するサッカーの世界的な大会において、試合会場の一つに選出されています。同大会では、合計4つのスタジアムに太陽工業 / グループ会社が携わった膜屋根が採用されており、熱戦の舞台を支えます。

【構造について】
軽量なPTFE膜の特性を活かした設計で、13,750㎡におよぶ開閉式屋根が実現しました。わずか12分で屋根の開閉が可能なほか、膜の透光性により日中は自然光を取り入れる構成となっております。

東亜建設工業株式会社と共同で研究開発を進めてきた、えい航中の浮遊ケーソンの動揺を抑制する「シート製減揺タンク」を、国土交通省北陸地方整備局管轄の伏木富山港富山地区岸壁工事において、初めて現場導入しました。

膜構造の設計・加工技術を活かした「シート製減揺タンク」の採用を通じ、従来の鋼製タンクと比較して大幅な施工性の向上を実現しました。

【About this building】
The platform roof of Osaka Metro Shin-Osaka Station was renovated under the design concept of “Future Osaka.”
Following the renewal, the station maintains a bright and clean atmosphere, appropriate for a major gateway in Osaka where many people pass through.

【About the structure of this building】
By adopting a membrane structure, soft natural light is introduced into the platform, creating an open space while reducing the lighting load during the daytime.
The lightweight membrane form also harmonizes with the “Train View Spot” at the north end of the platform, expressing a vision of a near-future station.

「近未来の大阪」をデザインコンセプトに刷新が行われた、大阪メトロ新大阪駅のホーム屋根です。リニューアルを経て、多くの人々が行き交う大阪の玄関口にふさわしい、明るく清潔感のある駅空間が維持されています。

【構造について】
膜構造を採用することで、ホームに柔らかな自然光を取り込み、日中の照明負荷を抑えた開放的な空間を実現しています。また、軽量な膜材料によるフォルムは、ホーム北端の「トレインビュースポット」とも調和し、近未来の駅のあり方を表現しています。

当社が販売する 水をかけるだけでコンクリート構造を形成できる「コンクリートキャンバス®」が、国土交通省の新技術情報提供システム（NETIS）において、2026年4月に令和8年度「推奨技術」に選定されました。

コンクリートキャンバス®は乾燥状態の特殊配合コンクリートを織物内に封入したシート状材料で、施工箇所に敷設し水を散水するだけで硬化し、短時間でコンクリート被覆層を形成します。

今回の「推奨技術」選定に際し、施工の革新性や性能の信頼性、災害対応力が評価されました。

Tuwaiq Palace is one of the representative buildings in Saudi Arabia.
Its architectural expression, which integrates traditional Saudi Arabian architecture and modern membrane technology at a high level, was recognized with the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1998, an award focused on architecture in the Islamic world.

【About the structure of this building】
The roof adopts a double-layered PTFE membrane structure.
It demonstrates high durability against Riyadh’s intense sunlight, sand, heat, and ultraviolet exposure.
By utilizing its properties of transmitting natural light while reflecting heat, it creates a bright and comfortable interior space.

トゥワイク宮殿は、サウジアラビアを代表する建築物の一つです。伝統的なサウジアラビア建築と現代の膜技術を高度に融合させた建築美が評価され、1998年には、イスラム文化圏の建築に関する賞として権威ある「アガ・カーン建築賞」を受賞しています。

屋根部分にPTFEの二重膜構造を採用しています。リヤドの過酷な直射日光、砂、熱、紫外線に対して高い耐久性を発揮。光を透過させつつ熱を反射する膜の特性を活かすことで、内部に明るく快適な空間を実現しています。

This baseball stadium is located in Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, with dimensions of 92 meters to left and right field and 120 meters to center.

広島県廿日市市に位置する、両翼92m、センター120mの規模を持つ野球場です。2024年の改修により、バックネット裏の観覧席に膜構造の屋根が設置されました。

膜構造を採用することで、視界を遮る支柱を最小限に抑え、グラウンド全域を見渡せる開放的な観戦環境を実現しています。耐久性と不燃性に優れた膜材料が、直射日光や降雨を遮り、利用者にとって快適な環境を維持しています。
