都市部において、日常的に移ろいを感じ取るものとは何か。
多数の視線に晒される都市部では、外に開く庭の設計はかえって居心地の悪さの演出となる。
プライベートをルーバーで守り、その内側にはバルコニーを享受する、
家の中に外を感じられるような空間を演出することにより、都市部における外と内の繋がりを体感させるように設計した。

Coexistence with the Urban Environment.

In urban settings, what is it that allows us to perceive the subtle transitions of everyday life?
In cities where one is constantly exposed to countless gazes, an outward-facing garden can instead create a sense of discomfort.
By shielding privacy with louvers and placing a balcony within that protected zone, the design allows residents to enjoy an outdoor presence from inside the home.
Through this approach—bringing the feeling of the outside into the interior—the house is conceived as a space where the relationship between inside and outside can be experienced even in a dense urban context.
