Nyuma ya kila picha ya shambani kuna simulizi ya kuamka mapema, kufanya kazi kwa bidii, uvumilivu na matumaini.

Wakulima wanaposhiriki picha za mashambani mwao, hawaposti mazao pekee — wanaonyesha juhudi, kujitolea na safari ya kulisha taifa. Kutoka mashamba ya kijani hadi tabasamu za mavuno, kila picha ina hadithi inayostahili kusherehekewa.

Endeleeni kushiriki matukio yenu ya shambani… kwa sababu kilimo ni kizuri, na dunia inastahili kukiona.

Did you know Fall Army warm is a nocturnal insect and can do over 70kms one night?

Due to its ability to to move from one place to another covering long distances at pupa stage a maize farmer has to be keen on scouting the crop.

Chemical control is most recommended. However, most chemicals in the market only destroy the larva stage which is destructive but do not destroy the eggs.

It is highly advisable for farmers to spray chemicals that can destroy FAW at all stages to minimise cost of labour and several times of spray.

We highly recommend the following chemicals

1.0 Contest.
2.0 Amito
3.0 Amiguld
4.0 Foliam Targo
5.0 Ampligo
6.0, Belt

One spray is usually enough for a whole crop to harvest but proper scouting is necessary just in case a new of a new infestation.
