What happens before, during and after pest control service at a facility?
Manufacturing, storage and distribution facilities typically have a tentative annual pest control schedule that both parties (client and contractor) use to ensure timely and properly coordinated baiting and spraying exercises.
On pest control service day, Enviro Life technicians are trained to:
- report to the client's representative or person in charge of pest control activities in the facility
- Review pest trend analysis or pest activity charts in the Pest Control Master File
- perform a pest risk assessment on the exterior, interior, locker rooms (if any), storage, receiving and shipping areas
- make recommendations against any observations made
- perform the actual service i.e. baiting, spraying or pest management device installation
- get the job card signed off by the client's representative
In the unlikely event that pest activity is still evident two weeks after service, a service consultant carries out an in-depth inspection aimed at finding any previously missed pest harborage.
A report, entailing what was done and how both parties can seal these loopholes in the future, is then compiled and added to the Pest Control Master File.
The overall success of all pest management programs, as with any project, is largely dependent on open and honest communication between the client and contractor.
