Shipbuilding in East Africa isn’t just about steel — it’s about precision, purpose, and progress.
At SECO, we play a central role in building vessels that serve the fast-growing maritime trade routes, offshore projects along the East African coast, and inland operations across the Lake Victoria region.
Constructing a ship is a precise dance of thousands of tasks — each one controlled under SECO’s rigorous quality assurance systems. On top of this, we collaborate closely with leading IACS members, including RINA, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas Group, and the Indian Register of Shipping, to ensure our vessels meet the highest international standards.
From harbor support vessels to offshore utility crafts, our facilities in Mombasa, Kenya, and Entebbe, Uganda, support the goals of the Blue Economy, enhance inter-regional connectivity, and contribute to local skills development in marine engineering.
