𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄? Different species of Trichoderma and different strains of the same species of Trichoderma have different capabilities.

While all Trichoderma thrive in the rhizosphere, the benefits accrued by the plant depend on the species and strain of the Trichoderma.

This is why our Koppert hybrid strain T-22 of Trichoderma harzianum that is in TRIANUM is different. Strain T-22 is developed from two parent lines, a disease controller and a root colonizer, and has great potential for fungal disease control (Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, Sclerotinia, and Pythium, among others) as well as a strong effect as a plant strengthener (both on the roots and on the foliar parts).

🥑Cleaner orchards, Healthier fruit and a solution avocado farmers can be proud of!

We end this week on a high note after a successful regional launch of our solution Veni Biosulfur!

Persea mite has been creeping into Kenyan avocado farms, threatening the quality our growers work so hard to protect.

Today, during this , at Parachichi Center, EQUATOR AVOCADOS KENYA LTD Eldoret, we unveiled Veni Biosulfur, an effective biological solution for persea mite management for our North Rift Avocado growers.

Many growers hear “Trichoderma” and assume all products work the same way. In reality, the species, the strain, and the formulation determine the results you get in the field or greenhouse.

Healthy crops begin in the soil, but repeated drenching of synthetic fungicides can gradually disrupt the very life beneath the surface that plants depend on.
Soil fungi have varying levels of tolerance and sensitivity to fungicides, and repeated applications can lead to accumulation in soil, affecting beneficial soil organisms.

Scientific findings continue to show that treating the soil with some of the commonly used synthetic fungicide active ingredients, impacts enzyme activities and microbial populations in the rhizosphere.

Through our partnership with the Cereal Growers Association and the Farm to Market Alliance ( ), we're helping smallholder farmers access practical, sustainable farming practices that strengthen resilience right from the soil.
For many smallholder farmers, declining soil health continues to present a major challenge to consistent crop performance year after year.

One of our key focus areas in our partnership has been soil health restoration through biological and regenerative agricultural practices that support soil biodiversity and more resilient cropping systems.

𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙥 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙨 𝙪𝙥
About two weeks after sowing, (14th April) we shifted the focus to below the surface again. We introduced Koppert solutions 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙪𝙢 and 𝙑𝙞𝙙𝙞 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙫𝙖. These two solutions focus on the root zone of the crop and have key benefits as follows:

Trianum is a bio fungicide for the control of soil-borne diseases such as Fusarium spp. Trianum establishes itself around the roots and protects them against diverse pathogens. It also improves the root system through the formation of more root hairs so that water and nutrients can be taken up better.

Vidi Parva is a natural, plant-based bio stimulant designed to enhance root development, allowing plants to absorb nutrients more efficiently. It also increases soil microbial activity, promoting a healthy rhizosphere that supports disease resistance.

When roots are strong, everything above the surface has the power to thrive.
This is where resilience truly begins.

𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩 3 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙎𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨:

Progress update: On 7th April, just a few days after, the seedlings emerged, and they looked healthy! What we saw was:
• Even germination across trays
• Vigorous early growth
• Healthy coloration and vigor

The nursery showed strong, uniform seedling emergence, which was a direct result of good agronomic practices, including proper hygiene, using quality growing media and early microbial support with 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙭-𝙂𝙍
