1. Structure and Design
Transparent Backsheet or Dual Glass: Unlike traditional panels that have an opaque backsheet, bifacial panels use transparent materials (like glass on both sides) to allow light to pass through or reflect back into the cells.
Solar Cells: Typically use high-efficiency monocrystalline PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) or HJT (Heterojunction) cells which are sensitive to light on both sides.
Aluminum Frame or Frameless: Can be framed or frameless depending on the installation style.
2. How It Works
Front Side: Captures direct sunlight just like a regular panel.
Rear Side: Captures reflected sunlight from the ground or surrounding surfaces (albedo effect).
