Glow and Grow was founded by Reggie Okoko and Cynthia Gichuki in Mauritius.

Reggie (he/him) is a 3rd-year Computer Science student at Glasgow Caledonian University from Kenya. He is passionate about Renewable Energy and the Circular economy.

Cynthia Njoki (she/her) is a Business Management major passionate about leveraging renewable energy to improve the lives of local communities.

Isabel Khira (she/her) is dynamic and passionate about Business Operations, Culinary arts and Entrepreneurship. Her mission is to empower African start-ups with Business intelligence and efficiency to smoothen their operations

Glow Ke primarily focuses on children 🚸between 7- 15 years in primary school🏫.
Most households in Semi-arid areas and informal settlements have no access to grid electricity in Kajiado and Samburu counties.
Pupils are at high risk of using kerosene lamps, which can lead to health❤️‍🩹 complications due to inhalation of toxic fumes.
The lamps also present a fire hazard by having an open flame🕯️ and can be easily toppled and start a fire.
