Golden Africa Kenya Ltd Launches East Africa’s First Inclusive Sensory Garden.
In the spirit of Ramadan — a time defined by compassion, generosity, and service to others — Golden Africa Kenya Ltd, a member of the global HSA Group, has launched East Africa’s first inclusive sensory garden.
Designed to be experienced through touch, sound, scent, and interactive engagement, the garden offers an accessible space for learning, wellbeing and recreation for people of all abilities, including individuals with visual and physical disabilities. It stands as a practical expression of the company’s commitment to inclusion, dignity, and meaningful community impact in Kenya.
Located on dedicated green space adjacent to Golden Africa Kenya's manufacturing facility, the garden features guided sensory pathways, aromatic plants, interactive educational signage's and water and sound elements. An inclusive children’s play area, alongside sculptures and seating places crafted from recycled materials, demonstrates how environmental responsibility can be transformed into creativity and shared community value.
The launch builds on Golden Africa Kenya’s broader sustainability agenda, which includes large-scale solar and biomass energy installations at its facility, structured recycling programs, waste reduction initiatives and ongoing tree-planting efforts — all contributing to a reduced carbon footprint and responsible industrial practice.
Open to employees, schools, and the surrounding community, the sensory garden is a lasting reflection of Golden Africa Kenya’s vision for responsible corporate citizenship in Kenya and across the region.
