Kisumu City ! Good News for Road Users!

NAS, the leading Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) company, in partnership with the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), is making great progress in improving traffic management across Kisumu.

We are pleased to announce that Jomo Ondiek Roundabout is now operational on a trial basis. The junction is functioning well, and it is encouraging to see road users responding positively and following the new traffic controls.

As part of these improvements, traffic signal cameras have been installed at the junctions to support better traffic monitoring, enhance road safety, and help manage traffic flow more efficiently.

Work is ongoing, and Kondele Roundabout and Kisumu Boys Roundabout will soon be fully operational. Once complete, these upgrades will lead to safer roads, reduced congestion, and smoother travel for everyone.

We appreciate the patience and cooperation of all road users and the Kisumu community as NAS continues to lead the delivery of smart traffic solutions in collaboration with authorities.

Together, we are building a safer, smarter, and more efficient Kisumu.

This past week, our team had the privilege of attending the 32nd Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) Conference in the vibrant city of Mombasa. Kisumu City, we are here!

In conjunction with the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), we are conducting a volumetric traffic survey across three key intersections in Kisumu, Kondele Roundabout, Jomo Ondiek Roundabout, and Kisumu Boys Roundabout.

This is part of our ongoing efforts to understand traffic patterns and volumes, in preparation for installing traffic signals that will improve road safety, reduce congestion, and create smoother flows throughout the city.

What does this mean to you as the road user? Better managed traffic at peak hours, Increased safety for all road users and efficient travel times across these intersections

We look forward to working with all stakeholders including commuters, local authorities, transport operators, and communities to ensure a seamless installation and operation of the new signals.
