It is with great sadness that I share that Kuunda 3D is closing after almost 7 years of operations in Africa. We started in Tanzania in 2015, grew to Kenya in 2017 and then to the UK in 2018 where we served East and West African customers and resellers. COVID has increased shipping and importing costs, despite higher demand for some products. We've been unable to travel to do training for our customers, a key component of our business. On top of all that, our biggest supplier, Ultimaker, has changed their sales strategy and we are no longer able to sell their products after a partnership of 6 years.
With all these challenges, we have decided to close our doors and move on. Our resellers in Tanzania, Nigeria and Rwanda may still be able to supply you, or please get in touch with one of our friends/partners - 3DGBIRE - https://3dgbire.com/ in the UK.
It's been a wild ride friends and I personally would like to give a big thank you to our first customers and supporters in Dar es Salaam, our staff (special shout-out to Lucy in Nairobi!), my business partners, our suppliers, our resellers and of course all of our amazing customers and students over the years!
