There is nothing quite like seeing the immediate impact of clean energy, especially when it opens up new horizons for the next generation.
On 9th June 2026, Women in Sustainable Energy and Entrepreneurship partnership with We Care Solar, visited Mitunguu Boys Secondary School in Meru. The activities began with a battery replacement exercise for the solar suitcase systems installed by WISEe back in 2021. The WISEe team then proceeded to conduct an exciting STEM workshop with the students, and seeing their curiosity light up around solar technology was the absolute highlight of our day!
Along the same objective, WISEe carried out battery replacements and system maintenance at Tunyai Primary School and Tunyai Children's Home on Monday, 8th June, 2026.
This impactful exercise continues in several other schools across Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties over the next 10 days. Watch out for more information on how we are making our contribution to the green energy movement by starting from the roots!

Talks about green energy should not only be left as discussions in boardrooms, seminars, and exhibitions. True impact happens on the ground, and that is exactly what the partnership between Women in Sustainable Energy and Entrepreneurship and We Care Solar is all about.
Through our ongoing youth Solar Sensitization trainings, we are turning conversations into action. Throughout May, June, and July 2026, we are delivering 15 hands-on workshops to over 600 students in schools across Meru and Nairobi.
By introducing the specialized We Care Solar curriculum and the new Solar Learning Kit, we are bringing renewable energy to life in the classroom. Students aren't just learning theory, they are actively building small-scale solar systems with battery storage, lighting bulbs, and charging phones. This practical experience is the exact spark needed to ignite a genuine interest in STEM fields. 💡⚡
We recently brought this practical learning to the energetic students at INGRID Education Centre in on May 22nd, and Raila Education Centre in on May 23rd, witnessing firsthand the incredible potential of the next generation.

We’ve been looking back at some of our favorite moments from the Ewaso installation, and we just had to share the glow! 🌟
There is something so rewarding about seeing the difference a little light can make. We focused on capturing that specific moment in the evening when the camp used to go dark, but now thanks to sustainable energy it stays vibrant and safe.
We absolutely love seeing spaces that were once "dim" now fully illuminated. It’s a beautiful reminder that our training and our installations are changing the way people live, learn, and rest. 🏠💡
