DANCO hosted high profile delegates during the Connected Africa Summit 2026, among them were:
Board Member Uganda Communications Commission Mr.Bernard Katureebe, Director of Research and Planning, National Communication Authority, South Sudan Mr. Chol Joseph Mayen, Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, State Department for ICT and Digital Economy South Sudan, Hon. Thomas Gatkuoth, VIP from the Uganda High Commission Ms. Ada Kabitura, and a delegation from Liberia led by Hon. Sekou M. Kromah from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.
At the stand they learned about the innovative Smartlock manhole solution for telecom infrastructure, a system that addresses vandalism through controlled access, secures underground cable networks and supports structured mapping for smart city deployment. It enables organized cable management, protects critical assets and strengthens the reliability of digital infrastructure.
This cross-border collaboration depends on interoperable digital infrastructure to move data, services and trade without disruption. Shared networks reduce duplication, lower deployment costs and enforce consistent connectivity standards across regions. Kenya is laying 100,000 km of fibre, Rwanda is expanding its backbone, while Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Central African Republic, Liberia and others are scaling networks to extend digital inclusion to millions. Each kilometer requires secure access infrastructure, cable management systems, and protective components that enable stable network deployment.
DANCO's solutions, including Smartlock manholes, smart water meters, leak detection systems and water disinfection technologies, enable efficient infrastructure management, resource optimization and system reliability across urban environments, positioning DANCO as a core enabler in the development and maintenance of smart cities in Africa through integrated systems supporting telecom networks, water management, and sustainable urban operations.
